Century communities in Texas is the absolute worst!! Run away!! Everything is built poorly, the team are unresponsive and the nothing will be done after you close. If you value your mental health, find somewhere else to spend your money

My experience with Century Communities has been extremely disappointing, especially regarding warranty support and communication. After closing on our home, we encountered several warranty-related issues that required attention, but getting any meaningful response has been nearly impossible. James Therriot has been unresponsive and difficult to communicate with throughout the process. Calls and emails often go unanswered, and when responses are provided, there is little follow-through or urgency to resolve the problems. As a homeowner, it’s frustrating to feel ignored after making such a major investment. A builder’s reputation is not just based on selling homes, but on how they support homeowners afterward. Unfortunately, Century Communities has failed to provide the level of customer service and warranty support we expected. I would strongly encourage potential buyers to carefully consider the post-sale service experience before purchasing.

I knew i wasn't getting the highest quality home but the pride in workmanship is the worse. This home is one disaster after another. Selling this POC

Our home was rushed to get finished by Aug 30, 2025. Therefore, when we showed up at the appointed time for the walk through and to get the keys, there was No ONE there to greet us! The landscaping was not done. The house was open but it was filthy inside from the different trades. When two men finally showed up, they told us they hadn't been made aware that we were closing that day. We were asked to go have lunch and when we returned a cleaning crew would have the house cleaned. The walk-through was haphazard and rushed. Since then we've had numerous issues with the house, mostly due to poor workmanship. To their credit they fixed most everything, although the more times we contacted Gary, the construction manager, the more unfriendly he became, to the point we refused to deal with him anymore, preferring to work with his supervisor, Jesus. Long story short: Century didn't get the proper permits for our backyard wall which faces a road, and so they had to cut it down - AFTER we closed on the house! It was cut down so low in parts of our backyard that it only came up to my waist, and we lost all privacy. We were never told that was the plan ultimately, and so we had to complain to the city and to the district manager, Alex Mahan. They did take responsibility for screwing up, and placed temporary privacy barriers in our backyard while we wait for the city to re-vamp their codes. We have been promised in writing that Century will rebuild the wall at their expense once the new codes are in place, allowing them to raise the wall. Meanwhile, all of the houses have been built and the builders are gone, but the community is a mess, with the rock landscaping in one area torn up by repeated construction crews driving on it. The roads are filthy, with dirt on the surface and debris in the gutters along with numerous oil spills from construction vehicles. There are block walls left unpainted to match the rest of the walls, and orange conduits sticking up out of the ground by many feet in numerous places within the community, obviously needing to be terminated in some sort of junction boxes. In other words, shabby and haphazard work overall to say the least. There is no evidence of the company's pride in their community that they built. It's embarrassing to see the way they have left our brand new community! And if they have plans to make it right, they've not communicated that to anyone in our community - you know, the homeowners? Would NEVER recommend this company to any prospective home buyer!!! UPDATE: Some progress has been made regarding the shape of the community; after I made my concerns known, finally someone contacted me! So now, the orange conduits were cut down, but not covered; the gutters were cleaned, but not the streets; the remaining unpainted block walls were finally painted; the only attention the common-area rock landscaped areas received was more rock was loosely, haphazardly scattered using WHITE rock, which doesn't even come close to matching the existing rock. I have been told by the HOA management company that these issues will be covered at the first Annual Homeowner's meeting this month. We'll see...

I am extremely disappointed with my experience involving Century Complete and their handling of a serious personal and professional boundary issue. My husband was doing business with one of their land acquisition managers. Over time, what should have remained a strictly professional relationship appeared to cross personal boundaries. When I brought my concerns to the company’s attention, I expected professionalism, accountability, and at the very least, a willingness to look into the matter. Instead, I was met with repeated threats of legal action and no acknowledgment of my concerns. There was no apology, no reassurance, and no indication that the situation would be reviewed internally. Regardless of the personal circumstances involved, businesses have a responsibility to ensure their employees maintain appropriate boundaries in professional relationships. If this is how concerns from business partners’ families are handled—through intimidation rather than dialogue—it raises serious questions about how the company values integrity and professionalism. I cannot recommend a company that responds to concerns with threats instead of transparency and accountability.

Seminole Palms, Palm Coast,FL. Be aware of their rush to get you to sign and within hours they want money immediately. a lot of money and non refundable. My personal experience was awful. I highly recommend looking elsewhere. They are nice at the beginning but nasty if circumstances change.

Current owner by century homes in Grayson dove lake. They won’t honor warranty poor workmanship. Built quality issues. Stay away from century homes and homestead community.

We bought the new constructed home in OAK GROVE GLEN subdivision in Snellville, GA. There were a handful of issues during the first week of moving in. Some minor such as no seals over the front and back doors frames to appliance malfunction due to improperly installed. The vent hole was cut too big, leaving huge gaps around the opening and sealed with tapes. Some of the minors overlooked items were resolved pretty quickly by Billy, the builder. He follows up & checks on us to make sure we're taking care of. Thank you Billy! But the issue with the microwave not working due to improperly installed is very annoying. We've been without microwave for almost a month and still not yet resolved. I will keep updating with the issues, when it gets fixed, and the outcome/ result afterward. Update: February 04, 2026: Finally we got the microwave replaced with the brand new one. We are happy now that the new microwave is working as intended. The 3 stars reflects the experiance we have had with the Century Communities. We would have given 4.5 stars if it wasn't any issues with the microwave.
