Car dealers regularly post vehicles on CarSoup with incomplete information and missing pics of the vehicle because it is being cleaned and inspected which can take a week or more. I would suggest Car Soup set requirements for dealers to not post until the vehicle is available and ready to sell with full details like transmission type and vehicle pics. Anything else continues to cause delays, frustration, and makes the consumer inquiring have to consistently waste time in order to make connections with multiple dealers on vehicles they ultimately dont want after multiple emails and phone calls with the dealer contact. Post it complete, or don't waste my time says the potential buyer.

Thank you for letting us know about your experience - your feedback is extremely valuable to us. CarSoup.com proactively supports consumer best practices and relays the information to dealerships so we can all strive to serve auto shoppers as best as possible. We apologize for your frustration, and would like to provide some information on why that is not a requirement at this time. It is everyone's (the dealer, CarSoup.com and data providers) goal to get you the most accurate, current and complete data as fast as possible. Unfortunately there are technical limitations that prevent us from ensuring vehicles listed on CarSoup.com are not in the conditioning process. In order for the most inventory on the market to be available to be searched on CarSoup.com we work with dealers and their data providers to feed their inventory onto our site. This ensures that the information on a vehicle is as accurate as possible on the large scale - the alternative would be that dealerships manually manage their sometimes 100s or 1000s of vehicle inventory manually in multiple places. The downside to that would be that more data inaccuracies would show up and prices would rise due to the operational cost involved with managing inventory. That being said it is a long term goal of CarSoup.com and dealerships to continually drive change and improvements in the industry - which is why your feedback is so valuable. Thank you again for the insights.

The actual car at the dealership was $14,000 higher and not the color described.

I believe every one of the inquiries I've sent re: a vehicle I'm interested in has be replied to within hours by the dealer - Which is SO much nicer than having to drive throughout a lot (weather-permitting) and either search for a salesperson or be instantly followed around by a pushy one (sorry?!) I feel as if have more control over what I can look at, what I personally like and am shopping for in a vehicle and the customer service so far has been wonderful.

I have been very disappointed in the entire process. I have lowered the price on my vehicle so low and have had ZERO responses. In fact, I have tried to see if search for my car on there site and can't even find it, for some reason. I think it's a waste of money, don't use it, Craigslist got me people interested in my car then carsoup.com - and they are free!

We want to apologize that you have been experiencing issues with your listing on CarSoup.com. Your situation is not the typical experience that sellers have on our website, and we want to do anything we can to help you. Our records show that a few people have reached out to you through your My Garage account. These inquires generate an email that goes to the email address you used to sign up for a CarSoup.com account. However, sometimes emails can go to your spam email box if you have not received an email from the address before. This is part of the reason why we have the My Garage account feature. My Garage allows you to manage your advertisement and see your responses in one place. If you still have not sold your vehicle and would like some more tips on how to successfully sell your vehicle, one of our customer service staff can reach out to you to set up a time to review your listing and provide suggestions on how to effectively position your advertisement on CarSoup.com.
