First time user and was a bit …
First time user and was a bit disappointed as I was expecting more - better content. Seems that the site is over hyped to look better than the competition and once you logon it is just a "me too" site.

Or did something not work as well as you were expecting it to? Advertising May Not Be Real Offers
I have contacted dealers about advertised offers on the CarSoup site with no response. Therefore I am of the opinion that the deals may be a come-on.

lack of pictures
I think that anyone, incuding dealers, should be required to post pictures of the vehicles. I am very frustrated with the amount of ads that don't contain pictures. I skip all that do not have them and I know I'm missing out on some good ones. I will not think about driving to test drive a vehicle that I cant preview.

Thank you for letting us know about your experience using CarSoup.com. Due to some technical limitations we do not require photos on vehicle listings at this time - however we strongly encourage vehicle sellers to include photos since that means a lot to car shoppers like yourself. Often dealer listings don't immediately have photos when they have a new listing because the vehicle becomes part of their inventory before they are able to take photos of the vehicle. Because many sellers either never supply photos or don't supply photos right away when they list a vehicle for sale, we do have a filter that allows you to only show vehicles with photos. This filter should be available when your search results include a mix of vehicles with and without photos. We hope this helps make your vehicle search on CarSoup.com easier, and we apologize that you experienced frustration when listings did not include photos. We will continue to encourage sellers to include photos on their listings as soon as possible.

Not bad, but not great either.
Many of the dealers do not keep their inventory updated. I spent much of the day I planed on purchasing a car on the phone with various dealers trying to find one. Once I was able to locate the model I was after, when I arrived, the dealer had not been upfront with the very obvious water damage. I'm down on CarSoup for not keeping their dealers accountable, and will consider buying through other sources.

Helpful source for searching.
I like this and have used it a couple of times. My only problem is that I could not find the actual vehicle listed in the newspaper when I went of line at Carsoup.com. Perhaps there was a place to do this, but I could not find it.

Thank you for sharing about your experience using CarSoup.com. Each of the listings featured in the newspaper should have a quick search ID number tied to it. You can type this number into the search bar that appears in the top right corner of CarSoup.com on your desktop - on mobile you can find the search feature in the drop down menu. When you type in this number it should take you directly to the vehicle detail page. However, if the vehicle is sold between the time it takes the listing to be printed in the newspaper to the time that it takes you to find the listing in that newspaper, then it unfortunately will no longer show up since vehicles are taken down from CarSoup.com when they are sold. We hope that helps explain how to find those vehicles online!

Site needs some improvements
I love CarSoup but you need to add an option to be able to select by page when you are looking at cars. To arrow back or hit previous button takes forever. If you find a car on page 40 for example that you want to compare to the one you saw on page 4, it takes forever.

Thank you for suggestions on your site experience with CarSoup.com. The best way to compare specific vehicles on CarSoup.com is to sign up for a Garage - having a Garage allows you to save specific vehicles, save searches, etc. You can then reference all the vehicles you have saved and do some quick comparisons directly from your Garage. If you were searching for vehicles on a desktop computer, there should have been a select by page option at the end of your search results. However, if you were using mobile, there is not a select by page option at this time due to some technological limitations and space limitations that arise when using mobile devices. We apologize that this hindered your experience using CarSoup.com. Your suggestions have been forwarded to our user experience team. We hope that using the Garage feature will help resolve some of the issues you experienced comparing vehicles on CarSoup.com!
