A fuir ! Belle arnaque !

Easy jet introduced me to Goldcar the scammers
I booked my rental car via easyJet when I made my flight booking assuming they would only deal through reputable companies. My rental was through Goldcar, and I was horrified to get a Euro 175 damage charge taken from my deposit when the car was handed back exactly as it was received. Subsequently I note from Which and Trust pilot that Goldcar are more or less a scam operator. So why on earth do easyJet use them?

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Hidden costs.
Booked a car hire to find that there was a hidden fee of €868 that had to be paid via credit card. The “help” was about as useful as a chocolate fire guard and so, so frustrating.
Stressful start to finish. Just don’t bother.

A éviter.

Deposit not returned
Booked a flight to Milan with Easyjet and was offered car hire at a very good price, also offered additional insurance and told with the policy we would be covered for any eventuality which I bought, however at the Moventur car hire pick up desk in Milan we were told we had to put down a 1000euro deposit on our credit card which would be held for 10 days after the car was returned, it is now 55days and Moventur car hire have not returned my deposit.
Having spoken to Easyjet customer services they say its nothing to do with them and the issue is with Moventur, I asked to speak to someone from Easyjet who could help us with this issue and they then hung up on me.
Unbelievable poor customer service from Easyjet.
I am now having to go through my credit card company to retrieve my deposit

Incompetent
We booked car hire with our flights for a trip to Iceland. Everything went smoothly with our flight - it landed on time and our luggage was ready to collect as soon as we got to the belt.
We looked how to get to the car-hire pickup, and it said to take the shuttlebus. Getting to the shuttlebus, there is a sign saying the service stops at 6pm, over an hour before our flight landed!
We then looked to walk to the car hire pickup (over a mile away, with two young children, in pitch-black sub-zero temperature February night) but were advised by the airport staff it would not be safe to do so. Incidentally, the airport staff member we spoke to asked if we had booked through EasyJet, which surprised us - how did they know? They said this happens all the time with them.
We then called the car hire office for advice, to get an automated message that the office closed 2 hours before our pickup time!
Next, we called EasyJet car hire themselves to ask what to do, and they told us to hire a car at the airport, and they would refund us for the car hire we'd booked through them.
When getting home, we called to arrange the refund. However, EasyJet claimed that, unless we had photographic evidence of the office closed at our arrival time, then it counts as a no-show. The car hire company's own website, and opening hours on Google Maps, show that it would not have been possible to pick up the car at the scheduled time.
They contacted the car hire company who said we didn't turn up to collect. Well, how could we? You were closed!
The evidence is indisputable that collecting the car at the agreed time would have been impossible. However, after several emails and phone calls exchanged, EasyJet are not interested in refunding us.
I can only use Hanlon's razor and assume that EasyJet car hire are incompetent, rather than deliberately taking money in exchange for nothing.
They have exhausted our good will, and we will never use them again.
