What a absolute joke so avoid!!! We hired a vehicle through easyJet when we booked our flights, just for the simplicity. We payed upfront for the car so we knew what we were paying for before we arrived at our destination. On arrival it was late and all we wanted was our rental car for our onward trip a few hours away. We were greeted by a very friendly gentleman who very quickly found our details. The car we booed they didn’t have so he offered us something similar which was fine. Then explains there was an extra £300 tax and a further £300 for refundable beposit so £1000 in total.Obviously not what we needed late at night with two shattered kids in toe. There was no warning of this and we feel completely tricked.

Août 2025 Easy Jet car rental : Des voleurs ! En passant par leur plateforme, nous avons loué une voiture pour 2 jours au Portugal, prestation payée en entièreté en amont —> impossible de récupérer la voiture une fois sur place à l’agence Green Motion de porto. Il était clairement indiqué qu'une carte de crédit était nécessaire mais il n’a jamais était stipulé qu’une carte de crédit avec la mention « crédit » inscrite dessus était indispensable pour une simple question d’empreinte bancaire. De plus aucune mention n'était faite sur l'acceptation ou non de cartes de crédit avec la mention « débit » inscrite. Malheureusement, nous avons deux cartes de crédit avec la mention « débit » et cela nous a empêchés de récupérer la voiture que nous avions réservé et PAYÉ. Aucune solution proposée par l’agence GREEN MOTION, malgré le fait de vouloir payer en direct le montant de la caution en cash, par CB ou virement bancaire. Bien évidemment le service client d’EASY JET CAR RENTAL indisponible. Nous avons du prendre un taxi à 165€ pour se rendre sur notre lieu de destination et au retour 42€ de bus. Malgré nos échanges avec le service client le surlendemain, EasyJet a complètement refusé de nous rembourser ou de nous aider à trouver une solution. Au téléphone, ils comprennent notre frustration simplement mais aucune action n’est faite. On marche sur la tête ! En résumé prestation de service payée pour aucun service au final, aucune marge de manœuvre et d’énormes frais supplémentaires pour une simple question d’emprunte bancaire. Lunaire et inacceptable ! Cerise sur la gâteau : Bizarrement avec le même service et le même loueur d’autres clients étaient dans la même situation que nous. Voleurs.

Hidden charges at car rental arrival which were not part of the t&c. We refused the pickup and have been fighting with the awful AWFUL easy jet customer service for 5 months. We have proof that we showed up on time, we even called easy jet customer service on time and any refund is refused because the car rental claims that we never showed up (did not allow to us sign a statement that we refused a pick up). Meanwhile there are records of easy jet talking to the car rental via my phone. Easy jet customer service is designed to refuse any responsibility and restart the claim over and over again.

Paid by debit card, I read the small print while paying which said: "you need a credit card to pickup the car", No worries I do have a valid credit card. Received an email after payment: "We noticed you used a debit card to pay, notice you will need a credit card, registered on the driver's name to pick up the car"... Me again: No worries, I have a valid credit card, used it a ton of times for car rentals. Day of pickup comes, Car rental goes: "Sorry, we do not accept American Express." 40 degrees of heat, with luggage and two small kids on some parking lot, far away from the airport. Easyjet marked this as "no show", their line of defence was: "The terms and conditions of your car rental state they only accept Visa and Mastercard", YES, and YOUR site says I need a credit card, which I have. They even cut me off on their chat, and I was being super polite despite the stress. Lots of stress, £458 pounds lost, all they had to do in their web site would be to state: "Check what credit cards are accepted by your chosen car rental". Of course they would lose clients if they said that. It's not like I read that and I ignored it, it's simply hidden in 15 pages of terms and conditions of the car rental. Such an important detail should be hinted clearly before or during payment. Their site just states you need a credit card. They deflected any hint of responsibility. Be warned, their bad service is real.

If i could give no stars i would. Go to any other company. Most of our friends recommended Europcar and we selected Easy Jet huge mistake. Car hire was organised through BUDGET CAR RENTAL. Organised car rental in the Uk and paid on credit card. When i got to the desk in Bari airport with all the relevant paperwork confirming I had paid I was told they had to take my card information. When I queried why I was told money would not be taken it was just for fuel or the excess in case of damage that they needed the card information. I was told if i had paid a deposit it would be refunded. Car was a tight squeeze not enough room for the 4 suitcases and 4 adults as i had requested and we had to put the seat down and squeeze two adults in the back with the luggage. We also realised on our trip away that the headlights were not working properly. Made driving at night difficult to say the least. Did as we were asked - returned car with full tank of petrol, advised about headlights but they were not really interested and today we have found out that we have been charged twice for the car hire and they need to look into it - even though I have sent copies of bank statements - it takes 20 days for them to "investigate it" when you can see quite clearly money has been taken twice. Avoid at all costs

Just wasted 1 hour at the chat Getting no answers Just wanted to know why a payment on 1181 DKK ended up as a voucher on 113 pound at Hertz. ? One hour ? Some of the question was - did you arrive on time - did you show your driver license ?

Oplichterij- nooit boeken als Nederlander bij Easyjet. Voorwaarden zijn zo opgesteld dat je als Nederlandse consument er niet aan kan voldoen. Bij de balie van het autoverhuurbedrijf kan je nog even extra de verzekering aftikken ca 25 euro per dag. Ook na contact met EJ geen oplossing. Dan maar via reviews een waarschuwing aan anderen om voor hen dit te voorkomen.

Arrivé sur place à Cagliari, on m'a refusé la voiture de location car mon permis est écorné, c’est vraiment scandaleux, EasyJet n’a pas voulu changer de conducteur, ni faire un geste commercial, c’est une honte. J’ai dû louer une autre voiture. A croire que ce n’est qu’une question de profit. Vraiment scandaleux.
