There is a huge disconnect between the website for free and the paid version (my.caredge.com). The search feature is almost useless for the cars I searched for. A Toyota Rav4 is one of the most popular vehicles. Yet the website can't seem to locate Rav4 XSE trim models after multiple attempts. I feel my subscription offered 0 value over other search tools online.

The CarEdge YouTube channel seemed to provide good info, which took me to their website which had some info blurred. You could buy a subscription to get the blurred info and/or buy their Concierge service and let them do all the negotiating for you. I was very interested in the Concierge option. I stumbled upon the exact vehicle I wanted and figured I would check the blurred info before letting CarEdge make my deal. So glad I did, the CarEdge Insight Subscription did NOT provide any useful information. The info provided was “Discount Unlikely”, “Fair Price” was blank and the “CarEdge Recommendation” was a helpful “Try and negotiate a deal, but don't be surprised if the dealer won't budge.” I reached out to support and was basically told to expand my search. I took this as I didn’t live in the correct market for their service to be useful. I would not recommend CarEdge’s services unless you live in a large populated area.

Gave them $5 for detailed information on a vehicle. Page refreshed and said they couldn't find information for the VIN I entered, but would show general information on similar cars. The VIN I entered was copied from their web site! I'm out $5.

Looks like to me they are more for the dealer than the buyer a lot of what they say about a lease is not correct if the owner has been a car dealer for over 40 years he knows better unless he sold cars on the moon? It is totally not accurate that if you move out of state you must return the leased vehicle to the original dealership totally false you can return an end of lease to any dealer that offers that make of car. As far as an accident the lessor is responsible is also not accurate that’s why you have Gap insurance which is included in the monthly payments. It seems like they want you to purchase rather than lease so you get screwed two times rather than one time. As far as end of lease you can purchase the vehicle for a reduced rate is also not accurate it depends on the market and 99 times out of 100 it’s more like retail. The saying is how do you know when a car dealer is lying? When there Lips move you can’t change the stripes on a tiger so for over 40 years he has been lying to the public so now all of a sudden he for the buyer?

I wish I could give this company 0 stars. What a HUGE waste of time & money. This service IS the scam. Do not give them your money…please - save yourself. They are a slow, useless middle man that offer no expertise. If you’re worried about getting taken advantage of at a car dealership…go to a dealership with no junk fees. They made the process of finding a car MORE stressful. Useless, useless, useless!!!!

just spent over an hour uploading detailed information, waiting for screens to load on their website to get insurance quote. It crashed at 90% complete and sent me back to the start. Not worth it. Avoid.

I guys never tell consumers that all these tie in pricing is illegal according to FTC and DOJ. Plus all the other illegal tactics that are used every day and can subject tp lawsuits. If a dealer goes down that road just walk out. Illegal

Started out great, now typical scumbags. When they first debuted their program, you could talk to an advisor any day. All of the initial benefits were great. They re-branded because they couldn’t handle the work load and don’t want to pay for more agents, so instead they just limited it to a short time slot on 1 day a week. SERIOUSLY? wow. No words. That’s how they got out of literally ripping people off and changing their terms after they signed you up on other terms. Scumbags and liars. Good videos, but now it’s all about the money. I guess the sleazy car salesman never left.
