I emailed a dozen people and only 1 replied to my query within a day. Another replied a few days later saying she was unavailable for a month. Another replied a couple days later saying she was available. SO, that's 25% who responded at all, and only 2/3 of those responses were even available to be considered. I think the people at Care.com should require those posting themselves as possible workers to keep their profile updated as unavailable, when appropriate, and/or to reply within two business days. It's not worth my $31 per month membership fee when I spend the time to scroll through person after person and so few of them even respond.

I can understand your frustration, Alison! We expect everyone to reply promptly to all messages and inquiries but unfortunately, this is not always the case. We always suggest posting a job ad in addition to sending out messages to caregivers directly. With a job post, you will attract caregivers who are actively looking for jobs and will have better response rate. We're so sorry you didn't get as much responses as you have hoped for. We really appreciate your comments and hope you have a great day.
