The site is a joke. I had amazing reviews. I responded to any messages i got. I showed up to any job I accepted. Kids loved me. kids always asked for me to come back. Had a lady ask me to babysit 2 nights. First night went well. Sent pictures and updates through the night and she paid. Second night was a long night did the same thing (sent pictures and updates through out the night). I told her i could not work past a certain time and she said okay and i should have brought clothes to stay all night. I told her that was not part of the agreement as i worked in the morning and her kids did not sleep through the night.
She gambled all night and lost $20k. She refused to pay me when i told her i had to leave at 5 am (only agreed to 4 am). She was trying to avoid paying me. So she was trying to push it. I reported her to the site for 12 of hours of non-payment and she made up a lie to get my account deleted. The site supports liars and ripping off people. I would not recommend the site to anyone if they want a site that doesn't rip you off and take your money or delete your profile in a heart beat. 50 amazing reviews and poof.

Be very careful if you hire someone…
Be very careful if you hire someone from this website. The last caregiver I had started out good enough, and within a few weeks became very irratic and hostile. The day before I fired her, I found her drugs (speed) on the table, wrote to her and let her go. She was texting me nonstop, rambling stating I owed her funds that was untrue as I was trying to get my mother to the doctor appointment. This was a an extremely harrowing, and scary experience for myself and my family. The woman complained to Care.com within the next 2 days, and the company took ME off their website. No big loss for me, if that is the way they do business. Im filing a complaint against her with the Illinois State Board, Horrid, horrid experience.

Don't give them your credit card
As others have already said, Care.com will continue to bill you without notifying. We did find childcare through them but this lack of transparency in billing is very underhanded and makes one wonder what else they are doing behinds the scenes.

Care.com DO NOT USE BAD
I am going to review Care.Com but wish to remain anonymous. I want to warn people about my experience. Make sure what happened to me will not happen to other people considering using this website for additional services and care support. I would not advise anyone to use this company for the following reasons, which will become clear as you continue to read my review. My experience has made me extremely cautious and wary when seeking care services on the Internet. Care.Com is no exception.
I recently contacted the company I was looking for a replacement cleaner. After much consideration, decided to go for a premium membership the best option at the time of purchase. I had not read other customer reviews regarding their experience beforehand, big mistake. I had already paid for a year's subscription and immediately regretted it after reading other customer's comments. I received several emails from Care.Com, but could not talk to them directly on the phone, a significant concern. I wanted to make sure I was speaking to an actual representative, assured the company I was dealing with were genuine. I phoned the company several times, could never get through to a real person. My messages always went to voicemail. Care.Com said a member of staff would contact me, but they never returned my calls. The email communication wasn't enough assurance for me. I could have been dealing with anyone.
I phoned my bank to inform them of the situation, who put me in touch with the fraud department. The fraud department argued although I had paid my money, I hadn't received an actual service from them. The bank advised me to inform Care.Com if I had not heard from them, I would instruct the bank to begin proceedings to refund my subscription. The following day I got an email from Care.Com to say that they had refunded the membership money I had paid back into my bank account they had closed at my request.
A week later, I got a phone call from the cleaner I had contacted on the website to do my cleaning. I said I was no longer a member of the site, not interested in using their services. However, the cleaner persuaded me she was trustworthy and professional needed the money. I agreed to give her an interview on the condition I meet up with her and my carer. We arranged a meeting at my house when my carer was present at 3. 0'clock the following week. On the day of the interview, the cleaner turned up half an hour late, not a good impression. The woman seemed genuine enough had taken all her relevant documentation at my request looked all in order, above board. I decided to give her a job. We agreed that she start work the following Friday, 12 PM to 2 PM, two hours cleaning.
The day my new hired cleaner started work, she arrived half-an-hour late again said she had missed the bus. I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt it was her first day. Though from my perspective, unprofessional and disrespectful. The cleaner didn't inform me she was going to be late. In my opinion, rude showed her lack of manners. I had given her my mobile number when I interviewed her, so this person had no excuse, not to leave a message to say she was running late. Who you would have expected would have wanted to create a good impression. Turn up on time, if not earlier, on her first day. Not a good start as the day turned out would only get worse.
I informed the cleaner what needed cleaning for some reason kept taking her time which I noticed was extremely slow. I told her she needed to strip my bed put the dirty bedding in the washing machine. She insisted on hoovering my mattress wanted to turn my mattress over; I said it was not possible as I use an adjustable bed, connected to a motor beneath. She insisted I put my duvet in the washing machine, to which I explained it wouldn't fit as the drum was not big enough. I spent 20 minutes trying to explain this to her, who refused to listen, not taking any notice of what I was saying. Time wasted unnecessarily at my expense. I had an appointment that afternoon I had to cancel. I was not prepared to leave this person alone. She then informed me two hours wouldn't be enough time to clean my entire flat. At which point, I saw right through her and concluded she was chancing her luck.
To make you aware, I have a one-bedroom ground floor flat: one bathroom, a living room, a small hallway, and kitchen. My previous cleaner, I had employed for three years, managed to clean in two hours, always turned up on time and left on time. I then said very nicely if two hours' work were not enough; I would endeavour to get someone else. The woman had a complete meltdown started crying, saying I was sacking her. I was expecting too much. Her unexpected and sudden reaction made me vulnerable and apprehensive. I had to choose my words carefully in - case the situation escalated. Although not apparent during the initial interview, I think this person had underlying issues that affected her mental health, which, in my opinion, is unstable.
This woman had absolutely no concept of time, no idea how to use a Hoover. Said I would have to get a new one, apparently too heavy. My hoover, a Dyson, my previous cleaner had used for three years with no problems. I then asked the cleaner to hang up my clean washing — no idea how to hang it correctly on the clothes horse without it falling off. Complained about using my mop and cleaning cloths, microfibre highly recommended for general and professional cleaning saying they were not right and not to her liking. She then informed me I should time her to clean each room. The way she chooses to allocate her time is her concern, not mine. This person is 47 capable of telling the time and organising her time management. Did not like it when I confronted her, spoke up for myself, told her exactly what I thought about her work or in this case, lack of it. Her attitude then turned aggressive towards me, put me on edge, made me uncomfortable in my own home.
Another issue I had with this person was she wanted to be my friend. It was over-familiar, bringing me grapes treating me like I had a learning disability kept holding my hands. I didn't like that. There is a fine line between being professional and personal. I think she thought I was more disabled than I looked. Which came as a shock when she discovered I was more than capable of putting her in her place. I am a wheelchair user; I want to make readers aware as they read this, I am an intelligent woman not naive, easily fooled or taken in. I got the distinct impression the cleaner was taking advantage when she said that three hours would be better for her. She said she would still charge me £20. After witnessing her cleaning, not to mention her unstable behaviour, I decided not to entertain her offer. I explained two hours was what was agreed stipulated at the interview. Reminded the cleaner that the other person I had employed for three years managed to clean my flat in two hours, she didn't like that at all. She argued my previous cleaner was a professional, couldn't work to her standard and needed more time to clean my flat, perfect excuse. When I read this woman's profile, it stated she knew how to clean and would leave your house sparkling.
For someone supposed to finish at 2 PM, she left at 4 PM on Friday. Informed me it was up to me if I wanted to continue with the cleaning arrangement. After the experience I had encountered that afternoon, I decided not to for safety reasons. I immediately phoned my other carer, who was very concerned about my well-being. I told the carer that I would contact the cleaner on Monday when she was there with me in case I experienced another outburst. The entire experience from the company to the service I had not received left me very vulnerable and wary. The following Monday, I phoned the person. Luckily I got through to her answering machine said I no longer required her services but wished her a pleasant Christmas and New Year. As a precaution, I also blocked her phone number and mobile number to ensure that I did not have any further contact with her. My house not cleaned to the standard I expected, cost me £20 for nothing. Do not use this company under any circumstances. Do not take people at face value; they are not who they appear to be. Care.Com's website has all the bells and whistles that make it look professional, but trust me; what you see is not what you get!

BEWARE !!!!
BEWARE!!! Once you give this disreputable company your credit card info, THEY WILL CONTINUE TO CHARGE YOU WITHOUT MAKING ANY EFFORT TO TELL YOU. Unless you read through reams of verbiage on the term of service, you will not know that they will AUTOMATICALLY KEEP CHARGING YOUR CREDIT CARD. Unless you check your credit card statement carefully, you will not know. They will NOT REFUND hundreds of dollars that they charged without your knowledge. Is this fraud or not?

DO NOT subscribe to this site
DO NOT subscribe to this site. I cancelled my subscription after one month and just discovered they were still billing me MANY months later on a card I also thought had discontinued. My bad for not double checking but they are not refunding me anything because THEY "show no record" of the cancel. No matter that there was ZERO activity on my account since the very first week that I signed up, and we NEVER hired anyone from Care.com. I can't believe this is legal!
Beware, unless you are studying up on a great new business plan!
