SCAM. They allow carers to set their profiles to 'auto apply' so you get spammed with responses from people who haven't even seen your ad and who wouldn't be interested in it. They then assign a payment for the job THAT THEY HAVE MADE UP AND THAT YOU CANNOT EDIT. This meant that I any actual responses I had were expecting huge amounts of money for the job so wasted everybody's time. I quickly realised that the site was a scam and asked for my money back to which they replied, 'Unfortunately we cannot provide a refund as Care.com fees are non-refundable, which we also pointed out in your invoice. The premium fee allows families to communicate with carers and this feature is working for you.' Yeah, ok. So I can 'communicate' with bots, inactive profiles who have auto-applied and nannies who want 4x what I'm paying. How very useful. They also don't screen anything so lots of soliciting nudes etc. Just a dumpster fire of a business. Avoid at all costs and report them to ACCC and Fair Trading. I wish I had read reviews before signing up.

The absolute worst. I signed up for a premium membership to test it out for a month. Did not read all of the information but they automatically subscribe you into an auto-renewing membership, which already is a terrible practice. I only signed up for a month. I got charged for it on Nov. 6th, 2020 and decided to ask them to cancel/a refund on Nov. 9th, 2020 (Monday). They told me they do not provide refunds. It's a global pandemic and many people are out of work. I can't afford to be losing $41 to a website I don't even like/want to use. They kept matching people up with me that didn't even fit the criteria I asked for. The customer service rep LOIS was absolute rude. I'm disputing this with my bank and hopefully they can give it back to me. My husband is still out of work, so I can't afford to lose out on this money.

If I could leave negative stars, I would. Not only were job listings outdated and I never got a position despite applying for everything and having a complete and qualified profile, but the only two people who did message me were soliciting me for sexual texting. This website is a joke, very poorly managed, and a waste of money and time.

They will literally steal money from you DO NOT USE THIS SITE. FRAUD!!!

Please please do not use this site. I did for a year, when all the sudden got charged a renewal fee, paid it, and they deleted my account that had several wonderful reviews, several jobs waiting to hear back on. This is the platform I kept for marketing my business, but after being charged, them deleting my account after taking my money I am now urging everyone to stay far away from them. I called my bank and am disputing the transaction and will get my money back, but not because the company was willing to give it back. I did ask them before calling the bank and they told me "no refunds." Also it's supposed to automatically charge your card once a year, and to cancel you have to cancel from within your account, which was now deleted, so they think they can keep my money and charge me yearly. Please dont spend your money with them!!

I used care.com several years ago to find a position and it worked well at the time. However, while trying to revisit the site to find my next family, I found that the site is no longer user friendly and there is no way to do anything on the site without paying. I want to look first and see if it’s worth my time, but now I’ll use someone else to assist me in my next steps.

AVOID THIS IS A MAJOR SCAM!! CARE.COM take a fee of £9.00 to allow you to message other people to register your interest in jobs and to message families. Following on from this you do not get a response from any families you have messages should you get a message you would have to re pay in order to look at the message. CARE.COM provided me with a number of a family which i contacted the lady required a clean background check which she then sent me a link for as she advised me a DBS check was not sufficient enough. Leading onto using the link she provided me via whatsapp this took me to a live chat which requested my personal details such as contact numbers,address, and my full bank details. Following on from this the live chat then asked me for a reference advising they needed another family members full card details. The person via whataspp kept on asking me if i had completed the background check they sent me. I seeked advise from a family member who is a qualified babysitter and was told this is a SCAM and to contact my bank immediately. My bank then confirmed a transaction had tried to be taken out of my account for over £300.00. I have made my bank and the police aware of this so this person and CARE.COM can be fully investigated. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!.
