Care.com is a joke. How are you going to charge nannies / babysitters $14.99 to start just to apply for jobs in the midst of a global pandemic? They have been a money crazed, selfish company for the last 5-6 years I’ve known of the app. What a shame.

I was lookin for a good cleaning lady for a one day service and Care.com popped up in a search so I created a profile like I was prompted to. I signed up for a one year subscription since the site would not allow me to reach out to anyone till I paid. After only 3 minutes of searching through the site I realized this service is not for me so I canceled my account. Two days later there was no refund of the $130 + dollars i paid so I called customer service. The woman on the phone said refunds are not in their policy eventhough she could see my account was only active for an hour. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she refused saying that there weren't any available. STEER CLEAR OF THIS SITE!! WHAT THEY DID IS CALLED THEFT AND THEY REFUSE TO MAKE IT RIGHT! I ended up finding my own cleaning lady through Facebook.

I cancelled my membership in April, they offered to instead charge me $30 for 6 months with recurring payments starting 6 ENTIRE months later. I didn’t need the website services, I didn’t use it once for 6 months, then out of nowhere they took the $30 out of our account to restart the automatic monthly billing cycle. I explained the mistake to them, that I didn’t need or use their services or get any benefit from the 6 months of membership, that I didn’t need it because my business closed after COVID, that $30 matters to us because my wife lost her job, and asked for a refund because I had simply forgotten to cancel my membership. After asking 4 different times in a chat for a refund, the rep said she would talk to a supervisor, who then responded that they refuse. It really is telling of the kind of company they are when they’re THAT desperate to take your money. They really want your money, technicalities are super important to them if it’s in their favor and your disadvantage, they don’t care about your situation, and they value $30 over their reputation. Their website was difficult to use and full of disclaimers to remove any liability for them if they provide a profile and recommendation for an unsafe babysitter. I’d highly suggest any other reputable company instead of them. Sittercity.com, sitter.com, babysits.com, etc...

I wish I knew about this website before I plunked down $50 to find someone. : ( No one has answered my ad and when I contacted Care.com the first thing they said was that they weren't going to give me my money back (and at that point I knew I had been suckered) they did say to put an hourly wage in my ad and I did (I added a generous rate) and not a single person. I also asked how often they ask their consultants to update their profiles and they didn't have an answer for me. This place is a sham.

I paid for a membership so I could message caregivers directly vs being at the mercy of anyone who wants to apply and I am VERY sorry I paid for it. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!!! I have sent messages to several people over the past few months looking for care and only 1 person has responded to any of them. Now thats technically not care.com's fault whether or not someone replies, but they also have things that show someone's response time is x amount of time, and its not true. Some people havent even looked at the messages. If you're going to use them, dont waste your money and just go with the free features, if even those...

They will renew your membership even if you do not use it for months, and refuse to issue a refund. Terrible customer service policy.

Horrible company. They make it almost impossible to cancel membership but keep charging you every quarter. I would NOT recommend giving this place your credit card info unless you want to be ripped off.

Wat een drama dit bedrijf. Nooit toestemming gegeven om premium lid te worden, toch word er elke keer geld afgeschreven. Ik krijg geen contact met ze, en ook bij instellen wil het niet lukken om mijn account te wijzigen! Iemand die mij kan helpen hiermee?
