In January of 2020, I started a trial membership with Care.com to find a babysitter. I never ended up finding anybody on the site. Now on January 2, 2021 I discovered that I was getting charged a monthly premium service membership fee each month. In January 2020 it was 29.99, then for the next 11 months it was 37.99. In total I have paid about 350.00 for this service that I never even used. I have contacted them about getting a refund, and their response was that they notified me in many different ways that I would be charged. I have made a report with the federal trade commission and let them know this. They seem very confident that they will not need to refund me the money. I was distracted at the beginning of the year because my daughter was only a few months old. This company is taking advantage of mothers who are looking for help.

I uploaded the app. I couldn’t reach out to anyone, only look at profiles. (Btw the zip code kept defaulting to my address, not the place I needed service) Site kept saying I needed to pay for service. $40 for one month!!!!! $80 for 3 months. I desperately needed help for my dad because he moved away and has no friends or family and got ill. So I paid $79.99. Finally able to reach out. I messaged several people. I posted a job. NOTHING!! Zip nada nothing!! Are you kidding me! $80 down the drain. No phone number to call customer service. What a scam! Be careful. People posting their profiles don’t respond and your left with a gawd awful high bill. Seriously $40 for one month and you can’t even provide a customer service number. FU. Refund me if you want this review removed!

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHERE IS YOUR CONTACT US LINK??? NOWHERE TO BE FOUND ON THE WEB SITE! the FAQ is mostly useless. "I WANT THE MY FAVORITES CAREGIVERS TO BE SORTED BY DISTANCE" 'newest' and 'most reviewed' are useless to me. I had to look high and low to find this contact form, and that is BS.

This company should be deemed illegal for scamming people charging their credit cards every month in lieu of childcare. What kind of subscription does that. Customer care has a cookie cutter approach saying unfortunately NO to every request you make. People working in the company aren’t even qualified enough to comprehend individual situations. They are a scam on the name of child care. They have found out way to make money by scamming people for credit card coz no one is using their childcare services as much! Pathetic poor scam company.

Zero stars. This website is set up to make it difficult to cancel your subscription, aka “downgrade” your plan, so they can make more money with their “no refund” policy. Had it freeze 20 plus times on my last step to confirm my downgrade. Then they make it difficult to get in touch with costumer service to try to resolve the issues. So frustrating!!!

Scammers! Charged my account for 3 months and won’t refund!

I would give zero stars if I could. I canceled the account, and was charged again. I called, emailed, and chatted with tech support, and they still refused to provide a refund. I NEVER found a care provider through their site. They took down my job postings over and over without explanation.

Absolute thieves. We never signed up for a premium account but somehow we were charged for it. Somehow we missed this reoccurring payment and ended up paying $40 a month for 2 years. We are livid. DO NOT USE THEM.
