Absolutely the poorest experience I’ve ever had with any company. The insistence that I must pay for a service that I cancelled on the date it renewed (which is apparently too late), and the insistence that I can still use a service I DO NOT want is both remarkable and insulting. Poor business model. Will never use again.

Mediocre Customer Service Experience
I had an account with Care.com for well over a year. I attempted to update my name on my account due to a legal name change, and my account was immediately removed for violating their terms of service. Mind you, I was an employer, not a provider, and I had already employed several persons from this site. I attempted to call and explain the misunderstanding and show my court order, driver’s license, etc. proving up my name change, but I was told they could not help me with this issue over the phone and I would need to email customer service. I emailed customer service and received no response. I lost several good contacts, and a new sitter I had just hired got cold feet and quit due to the error on the part of Care.com (mind you, when they remove a user they send out a notice to everyone you have been in contact with that you have “violated their terms of service” and they give a laundry list of reasons why, making you appear as some type of criminal). I am an attorney with zero criminal record, not even a speeding ticket. This is inexcusably abysmal customer service when I’ve reached out twice and have legal documentation proving my situation. Why even allow the user to change his or her name on the website if doing so causes an immediate removal of the account? Very, very poor.
Update: I will update my review to three stars, as the company did reinstate me and gave me a free month of service after I posted my initial review. However, the damage to my reputation on the website will take some time to undo, and it would have been better had this been addressed days ago when I first reached out. There should be some means to address such issues over the phone.

When my company first offered this…
When my company first offered this benefit I thought it was great. They provide back up care for parents needing last minute care due to many reasons like distance learning or if your regular sitter is not available. I am a single mother and my sitter has been unavailable due to another family emergency. She is a family friend and does not charge me so I am grateful for that. I used another sitter because I must go to work. I had to pay this young lady and put in for reimbursements through care@woek. I was approved for my reimbursement and was told it would be 10 business days. Well it has been more than 10 business days and nothing is in my account. Everytime I called I was told to wait another day. The last time u called I was told it would be another 10 business days "escalate my reimbursements" and that the finance department would investigate. The worse part is I live paycheck to paycheck...I lost my second job due to the pandemic and I am a part time student trying to better our lives. I used bill money to pay for care with the promise of getting it back!!! After speaking with another coworker she said she wish she knew i was going to use them. She went through the same thing and never ever received her reimbursement. They kept giving her the run around until she eventually gave up. I still have not received my reimbursement!!!!

No customer service available
No customer service available. I was billed after I cancelled. I had to end my account because you can’t remove your credit card from the account profile.

Poor quality, poor customer service
I subscribed for a month to find a babysitter but unfortunately I got a lot of very poor applications. I went to cancel it on the day it was supposed to renew and charged me for an extra month and they refused to give me a refund.

I would give zero stars if I could
I would give zero stars if I could. I tried to cancel but the submit button wouldn't work after several attempts. They still charged me a ridiculously expensive renewal amount and when I called for a refund, they said they don't give refunds. I asked for a manager and they said I could only email them. Terrible/shady business model and worst customer service. Do not use.
