Autorenewed and would not refund when I contacted them on the day

If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Paid for premium, downloaded app, checked profiles and messaged for availability, followed their prompts to place an ad for a senior caregiver, less than 24 hours after paying they would not post ad saying didn’t follow guidelines and cancelled my account.

I have used Care.com for going on 7 years and this year by far is the worst experience that I very well may drop them. Why? 1. Email notifications are not consistent when messages are received. So there are lags in communication. 2. Jobs are closed at the end of business day they were created so no one sees your posting and you DON'T GET THE CARE YOU NEED. As a mom that needs care for 2 SN kids - it's difficult enough to find care. Then throw in the additional challenge of your posting closing the same day you post. (it was a recurring posting with a start date of 6/7 posted 5/30 - so the soonest it should have closed is 6/7 or an email asking if I filled it).

Waste of money

They are sending me SO MANY EMAILS every day. I signed up to browse when I was looking for a cleaner. But the tens of email I get every day is too much. There is no unsubscribe option and when I email I get no response. Against GDPR rules and I just want this to stop.

No where on website to cancel subscription! Cancelled my ad months ago which implied my subscription was cancelled but it was not. Had to hold 30 min for chat to resolve and cancel, What a racket! Companies like this should be strung up by their gonads and shut completely down.

care.com are fraudsters! they sent profiles automatically and lie that people have responded to job adverts to make users pay a subscription. Then it's hard to find way to cancel the ongoing payments and I am still to find a way to delete my account. What about GDPR compliance?

I wish I had checked these reviews before I wasted a lot of time setting up a profile and wording a message to potential service providers. Unfortunately, only after I received applications did I realize that care.com REQUIRED a paid subscription to respond to messages. If they had been up front about it, I could have made an informed decision , but instead I feel scammed and disappointed. I was able to close out the account easily, but I will NOT recommend this site to anyone.
