I have had great experiences with care.com with three exceptions. They won't let me change my legal address. I use the phone app regularly but can't access the full version via my laptop. Then this last one is causing me lots of problems for myself and prospective clients. It won't let me make changes in any of my bio, rates, anything. To make it worse when I tried to change my rate it defaulted to 10.00 an hour. I charge 25.00 so I have to explain to prospective clients it's the care app fault. If these problems didn't exist I would give care.com 5 stars.

I only Subscribed on this site and they don’t leave me alone and still sent messages although I block them. It feels more than Tinder than a serious nanny finder site. It’s all about making money

This web site is no assistance at all. I posted a part time senior care job. Every single applicant either doesn’t respond or cancels at the last minute. It’s a waste of time and money to use the web site. All people I dealt with are unreliable. I was paying a good wage and cash. Don’t bother

I would never use this site!!! I came on care.com to find an in home aide for my mother. I wrote my job descritption, what I needed and for how long. It created an account and my job was posted. I did get some interest but when I went to respond I had to pay to see who was interested in the job. It says nothing about that until you try and open the response. I paid for 1 month of service feeling I wouldn't need more than that. Before I could set up any interviews with the respondants my brother had alreay hired an aide. I respectfully let the applicants know and then tried to update the job description to POSITION FILLED. Here lies the problem, they won't allow me to update the information to Postion filled!!!!! I keep getting applicants which I politely let know it's filled. There is NO WAY to contact anyone who is actually connected to Care.com!!! No email, no phone number, no chat NO NOTHING!!!! I would avoid this site like the plauge!!! I will never recomend anyone look for help or work for Care.com as they are truly not worth the time an effort! You have to do your own back ground check which you can conveniently get for a fee along with other services you have to pay for!! They nickle and dime you and have nothing to do with the actual care givers. Don't waste your time with them. I have arranged to close the account (7/9/ 2021) and I have removed my cerdit card information. My recomendation is to find a reputable company like Right at Home or others that have licensed professional personnel and insurance. My recomendation is to call your credit company and have them put a freeze on Care.com so they can not continue to charge your card!! I will fight this and get my money back!!!!!!

They never emailed me a confirmation that I was subscribed to them or anything about their ridiculously expensive premium autorenewal. Super sneaky and really difficult to cancel the subscription.

*****TIP TO STOP SUBSCRIPTION**** I have just paid a subscription similar thinking I had people responding to my ad. Then I read this. If you want to stop subscribing and have a zip money account, generate temporary card and put that in. Card won’t work in the future.

I got 8 responses to a job posting. I started a discussion with each applicant and they all seemed interested at first. Then when the time came to actually meet in person or start the job, something always came up. I think people are using this to satisfy the requirements for "looking for a job" to keep getting unemployment benefits. What a joke.

Well, again I tried the discount code 20MEMORIALDAY, and was denied. How can they get away with advertising a discount but not honoring it? Why was I denied? Is it only for a select few? Only for a certain age group or? Beware people…..this site can’t be trusted it seems.
