I paid to get a background check, only to immediately be rejected without reason, after having charged my account. When I tried to cancel my subscription, I could not even get back on the site. And no # to call.

Absolute scam. I was continually charged after canceling my subscription and I can't talk to anyone, the phone number and email do not work. There needs to be a class action lawsuit brought against care.com and they need to pay out big money....absolute scam.

I cancelled my membership and closed the job posting on 4/18/2021. Care.com continued to charge me three $89 subsequent charges before I noticed. When I noticed, I reached out to inform that I had cancelled, and I requested a refund. The chat agent said all charges are non-refundable. Again, I have had 0 open job postings since April, and it's December. I asked for the phone number to billing/customer care and was instructed to go and find it on my bank statement. It was not on my bank statement, so I asked for it again. The agent refused to provide it and went so far as to send a smiley face. The billing issue is one thing, but I am especially disappointed with Adrian, the Care.com agent, because of their lack of empathy and unwillingness to support in any way, even to offer options. It’s like Care.com didn’t want our business. Also, when you call the phone number on the website it routs through an automated message and hangs up. When you email their help desk, an automated response says that the email address isn’t monitored, please check the FAQ page. They have a phone number that doesn’t work, and an email that doesn’t lead anywhere. Care.com is a scam. -A. Stevenson

The fact that you have to pay to be able to make money on here is kind of ridiculous.

I paid the Fee for 6 months, I needed Respite relief, a few days per month and never found anyone, when I reached out to the "caregivers" none of them were ever interested in One Day jobs.

I've applied for 50 plus jobs. Paid the money to see who viewed my profile plus the Fee. It's a freaking scam. Don't do it!!!!!

Care.com makes you pay to join and pay for a background check. Well, after applying to jobs and messaging back and forth I was notified that my account was removed because of my background check. Having no idea why this could be I checked and remembered that many years prior I had had ONE minor speeding ticket. A speeding ticket once is literally the only charge I've ever had. I was refused a refund. Something so common and minor disqualifying you from an account should be clearly stated in the application. Otherwise you just know good and well you're taking people's money— why should anyone expect that will get you removed? I've gotten jobs at preschools, schools, and with families privately with that ticket on my record. I can only imagine how many people they've taken money from this way. Look around online at all of their shadiness. Parents please avoid this site and take your attention to candidates elsewhere.

Vraiment nul ! Je cherchais une nounou en anglais pour mon fils. Le site fait miroiter des profils pour vous pousser à devenir membre premium. J'ai tenté en pensant dépenser 9€ seulement pour pouvoir contacter des gens. Finalement rien, pas de réponse ou que des profils qui ne conviennent pas aux critères. Ensuite je m'appercois que je continue d'être prélevé tous les mois de 9€... très déçu n'ayant pas trouvé ce que je cherchai et avec l'impression de mettre fait volé.
