This company is a joke. You sign up, it takes recurring monthly payments even if you do not get responses. They charge you $50 for a background check that takes multiple weeks to come back and then you are charged. Already paused my account prior to the background check and still got charged for it. The "customer service" was awful. Rude and ignored me for 10 minutes without even saying to please hold, nothing. Do not recommend this site at all.

They're basically a scam. They roped me in to paying for a background check that only employees do because i couldn't figure out how to switch to employer from an old account i didn't even realize i had. But ok i signed up for the premium account anyway to try and find a nanny. after 2 payments I cancelled my account. It looked a bit odd, so i googled how to cancel the care.com account and double checked everything. And still i got charged again! They say the cancellation didn't go through but how was i supposed to know that?! They won't refund me either even though it's the start of a billing cycle and i have had no activity on my account for 2-3 weeks.

Their format has changed since I last used it. At this time, they do not give you a free preview of how their premium subscription works. Paid $38, and when I searched for sitters with a specific parameter I was unable to directly contact those that specifically met my needs. Instead it takes you to a page where it makes you use a credit card to "book" the person before you even have a chance to connect with them and interview them. The site is very hard to navigate, and not set up for you to find a long term care person with you establishing your own payroll process outside of care.com. They do not refund you a subscription upon this surprise. I would not recommend anyone to use this platform.

Impossible to get adequate help from customer service! Must be a premium member and pay to get issues resolved. Company also randomly closes accounts based on discriminatory practices. This company prides itself on exploiting hard working honest people in the name of making a profit. They will also take and share personal information in clear violation of policy practices and procedure. Best not to associate with any organization with these disingenuous business practices!

One day I was looking for a babysitting job for babysitting and then I found a babysitting website called Care.com and then I find out the you need something called a “Premium subscription” that costs around $30 with tax and a premium subscription allows you to message and talk to people that are looking for babysitters unlike that basic membership that’s free gives you almost nothing on the website and by my pov the Basic and Premium subscriptions are both the same but different since the chances of you getting your application accepted is low as hell, on Care.com I applied for more then 120 babysitting jobs in 1 month and only 1 of them got rejected and all of them got ignored. After when my 1 month premium subscription ended I went to Care.com support/contact us and I complained about my horrible experience with my premium subscription which I paid around $30 for and I asked for a refund and the Care.com staff responds with “ We are sorry that non of your applications got accepted, but you have to understand that there are many other different people applying for the same job as you so they may be some competition for the job that your applying for. Try to make your profile stand out and make sure to add somethings about and what you do as a babysitter in your profile description.” Like I was complaining about how hard it is for my Care.com application to get accepted and this Care.com staff adds things to the chat that I already had on my profile and my profile description and then I demanded a refund and then I didn’t get my $30 back and the Care.com staff responded with after I demanded a refund “ We are sorry that no one accepted your application, as said on our rules/community guidelines their is no refunds.” Right after I demanded a refund and these staffs act like they don’t care and that they love their job so much.

Microsoft reports that this company had a data leak, and my password was leaked, so I tried to go in and change it, but could not login. They wanted my Social Security number in order to login… After they leaked my password? That’s a big no. It took days for them to reply to me to tell me that my account has been closed at my request, so I never had access to the account, and I never got any bookings from them anyway. Start your own companies, dears! Don’t give money to people who are just trying to make money off of you with a website.

I subscribed to their membership and found that they had also charged me for an additional services I did not want. When I looked for a customer service link none was to be found, only a bolded "contact us" text with no hyperlink whatsoever. Does not provide a valid email contact anywhere that I can see. When I reply to any emails they send me I get a response that their emails are not monitored, no resolution except sending me back to the broken website. When I tried to log in again today I am told wrong email/password despite using my autosave login from the previous night. Ok, so I click forget password. Nothing comes through, again, again, again, nothing. Now I can't even access my account nor contact them. Had to cancel my credit card and will be filing a fraud claim with my cc company. They fail at literally every step of the way. If this ever was a legitimate website it is now a complete shell of a website that claims services you will never receive. Stay far far away from this company.

Awful. I wish I’d have read the reviews before signing up. I don’t believe the customers are real. Im hoping this helps anyone that is thinking of signing up - please don’t waste any money.
