Don't give them your Credit Card
I had an account with care. Com It started in February last year. It was for a six month subscription. I canceled in August after paying another 99.89. Then they billed me again in February 2024 after I canceled. Don't bother with them. The only customer service they have is no refunds no matter what. Even if you canceled six months ago. They must have an entire staff that just does refund refusals. I disputed it at least 6 times. In the end I had to send a letter written, signed, dated. with claim number, my address, plone and email, Proof of cancelation (six months ago), chat conversation with them stating which email the account was under, email where I tried to work it out the vendor, a copy of and care. Com cancelation policy. I use capital one. Care.com was requesting this and I sent it all and care.com still disputed my claim. According to nc law 75-41 any recurring charge that is billed more then 60 days out the vendor is required by law to tell me no more then 60 days and no less then 15 days in advance of recurring charge, the date and amount of the charge. They do not give you advance notice they are planning to bill you for a closed account and make it Impossible to dispute it. They will do anything to keep your money! Finally capital one gave me a courtesy credit because I had proven my claim multiple times. Care.com never refunded the fraudulent charge. Before you think about doing business care.com had over 3000 reviews and as of today a 1.6 out of 5 rating. I consider it a .6 rating since you have to leave at least one star to make a review. I can go into why they are a waste of money but you ban get a broader idea from reading the reviews yourself. I am currently looking for a class action attorney to file suit. Not for me. Capital one (which is awesome) refunded my money. Care. Com did not even after knowing they were fraudulent and were making illegal charges to my credit card. But I feel bad for the over 3000 people that were taken advantage of when they were in their time of need. My mother is very ill. I hired one person. Things were OK at first. She asked me for a good review so I have her one then found out she was taking money from my sister. The other one started out as ok. Then told mr she was being stalked by dave mathews and would hide her cornbread because she said it "triggered her. Most people don't report caregivers. My mother was terrified after firing them she had me change the locks.
