The site is a waste of time and money. They closed my account without speaking to me and emailed me indicating I used their site to recruit employees! This is not true at all. Customer service is a joke. As a professional that works with seniors I will gladly spread the word to colleagues to not waste time and money with this site. Aside from this, I was able to help a household interview 2 amazing caregivers and the family hired them. The family had nothing but positive reviews for those 2 ladies. The other caregivers from the site were no shows with families, lied about availability, or were unprofessional. I have encouraged adult children and spouses of seniors to check out the site as well as helped those that are not computer savvy hire caregivers from the site. I work in a role where people are seeking help and guidance. I have never hired anyone from care.com for my company nor paid a caregiver. Never again will I refer anyone to this site as a resource for seniors. The senior community deserves better than investing in this site. I have since found another resource and have a call scheduled to ensure they are truly in the business of helping others vs taking payments, poor communication, and having a site consisting of individuals that over promise and under deliver. To actually be able to schedule a call to talk about the needs of seniors is already a plus in my book.

She seems very nice, cooks well, and was good handling my mother in law. She was supposed to work for a week but showed up on the first day and said she could only work that one day. That left me alone to take care of my mother in law and I am disabled. Advance notice for me is critical. There was none. I am still looking for a replacement.

The first and only time I used them the sitter didn’t show up. I had a very important medical appointment that had to be canceled. She accepted the job three days before and then sent me a decline 5 minutes ahead of the agreed time so I couldn’t even write a bad review. I contacted care.com and it took 30 min to chat online and demand refunds for all my costs. They first said I couldn’t cancel my subscription but allowed it after my constant complaints. Never again!

They said that they 'did background checks' but wait until we have 'subscribed' to tell us that we have to pay $20 a month to recieve them, that is a cheap shot and a bait and switch. I fully plan to notify my attorney and the state attorney about their bad practices. I would send in questions and have to ask again (and often again) to get an answer, which was doubletalk. We have to subscribe to use the service properly, but after we have 'subscribed' then they said that every little thing to make it work will will cost us extra. I will also be filing in Small Claims court for refusal to refund my nearly $120 that I feel they conned out of me. I haven't felt so conned like this ...well, I don't think every. I want my $120 back. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE PLACE AND ITS PEOPLE-THEY ARE VIRTUALLY THIEVES

Super duper just a data collection scam. Asks for your SSN and even requires you use your "legal name" when you're just browsing. Always a problem if you don't go by your govt name for any reason - whether you're trans or just hate your legal name or what. Just kind of gross.

Avoid, they bombarded me with loads of emails as soon as I put my email address
