No one made an appointment at all.

Care.com used my credit card without authorization. I tried to use their service one year ago, but found most of the sitters do not reply to a request. Many are inactive but still have their profile on the site. Doesn't care.com ever check to see which caregivers still want to work? It was a horrible experience a year ago and now have made it worse by charging my account without an email notice for a heads up. Would give zero stars if possible.

Runs background checks on its users without consent and without following the appropriate procedures!! Disgusting. Kicked me off their site and suspended my account after receiving outdated negative information from the report they obtained WITHOUT my expressed consent. Dishonest, disgusting, overreaching. And added a substantial burden to my life over the holiday season, as I was attempting to use their service to find babysitters and housecleaners. As a single mom, the stress of this whole situation has made my life harder, and I'm literally sick from the stress now.

Hi (just like another poster on Trustpilot) I chose a '1 month only subscription'. The name I month only implies that it will not renew after 1 month. In fact this is a complete lie as it automatically renews. This is certainly not made clear at the point of signing up for a '1 month' subscription. Cancelling is hard and obsure. Its basically a scam. Under the terms and conditions it states 'You may cancel your subscription by emailing Care.com Member Care or adjusting your account settings.' They do not provide an email address to cancel. There is no option to “cancel “ your subscription and this is not in the help section. Downgrading could mean anything. I did not accept to auto renew, there was no option for this and on signing up the auto renewal was not shown in the explanation. You did not send any emails about future payments. Please refund my payment for the service I no longer want or need or signed up for. (dear CARE.COM let me translate for you. You say: '1 Month' You mean: 'Forever" You say: '...you can continue to enjoy our Premium benefits..' You mean: '..we continue ripping you off...' You say: 'happy to assist you' you mean: 'we've got your money hahahahahah' regards Bruno

After paying for care.com and using it to message potential nannies and eventually hiring one of them, I went to review my conversation with the person we hired, and care.com had blocked my access to read them, I had hoped to get a copy of the terms we'd discussed. I contacted care.com support, and chatted with Peter, and he said care.com was definitely not blocking access to my messages, and he couldn't provide a copy. I asked him to escalate and asked surely couldn't someone there access them? He checked and said no. Later I figured out how to unblock access, and retrieved the messages in question! They lied outright that the messages were being blocked. And they lied again saying that no one at care.com could possibly access them. They don't care about their customers at all. Quite the opposite in fact.

we had hired 3 caregivers from care.com this year, all of which were not reliable. unfortunately I didn't log in that we hired them until this last one which I logged in the day she resigned. the experiences we've had were people not taking their job seriously, not listening to what needed to be done and/or not showing up when I was ready to go on vacation. The last person I typed up everything needed to be done for our 94 yr old Mom and the next day she resigned, stating good luck finding a replacement which wasn't nice. she knew this on the first day of what was expected of her and was okay with it, but started to show up late and leave early, and not following instructions which were for the safety of our Mom. This last person was very nice, I don't want to beat her down with this message, but it's not easy to rely on anyone who can just resign without even giving you any notice. there's an elderly person involved and it's not fair to them and/or the family members trying to have someone help with her without any notice. I don't want to post anything negative about this last person, I'm not out to hurt or ruin anyone's reputation, but it made me realize after 3 failed experiences using care.com, it might be best to take a loan out and go to a professional agency to help with my mom. I have had so many people applying for the job I had posted, but when I would reply back to them they wouldn't reply back, why reach out to me showing you're interested when you aren't. Or you have people post what they charge per hour and then they bump it up even higher which isn't right. we need consistency, we need reliability and so far we haven't had that experience with care.com. I'm sure there are many wonderful and reliable people on care.com but we haven't found any of them who are located near our area unfortunately.
