First this has nothing to do with the actual care givers. My review is about getting my account cancelled or having to pay more every time I try to use my account. When I ask why I get a complete circle and no answer. If you are a care giver, please go to another site. These people do not care about you or their clients.

I deactivated account 7 months ago and they have kept taking money.

Joined care.com to find dog sitters. Got 11 responses from 11 people caregivers in two days. This was a recognized category on the care.com site. Waste of my time. Deleted my account.

As an individual, one can view a potential employer to determine whether the job advertised would fit the requirements for both parties. I have found families seeking care are often unprepared due to an unexpected occurrence of sickness, hospitalization or family situations which present challenges when caring for a family member. Care.Com allows individuals family members to state the expected criteria, making it easier for a potential caregiver to address the required skills and best fit needed for a mutual outcome. Once a caregiver determines the qualifications required to care for a potential employer, then a face to face interview and assessment of the care required would become a determining factor for job acceptance of both parties.

I have had an explandid experience with care.com. All my clients I have is because they go to care.com to look for a service and there they find me. They are looking for people they can TRUSTfor their service and we are looking for clients we can TRUST and care.com provides that security on both sides.

They have a very dishonest and deceptive billing practice. They essentially steal money from people that have subscribed. They do this by saying they have an auto-renewal' policy. However, they do not disclose it properly when someone signs up which leaves the customer vulnerable to their dishonest, deceptive, unfair, and abusive business strategy and tactics. Care.com was in fact ordered by the Federal Trade Commission to pay out $8.1 million in damages for their deceptions on June 24, 2025. BE WARNED.

I have always found the greatest families to work with at care.com. I love how user friendly the website is. I love care.com and wouldn’t look for a nanny job elsewhere!

Care.com is a prime example of how not to build trust with your customers. Every meaningful action—like simply reading responses to the job you posted—is hidden behind an aggressively placed paywall that you won't even know exists until you've already committed time and energy. Sure, businesses charge for services—that’s standard. But what's not standard is cloaking pricing transparency until users have fully invested themselves in the platform. It's an underhanded strategy, and frankly, insulting. If you value honesty, efficiency, or even just basic respect for your time, steer clear and find a service that actually respects transparency and customer experience.
