Great Return Policy, but Technology Isn't Quite Ready for Cochlear Implant Users
As a deaf individual with cochlear implants, I really wanted these captioning glasses to work. I ended up returning them, but I am giving a 3-star rating solely because of the company's excellent, hassle-free customer service. Their 45-day return policy is truly "no questions asked," and I received a full refund minus shipping fees. Here is my honest breakdown of how the glasses performed in real-world situations: What worked: They performed best during low-key conversations in quiet rooms with a few adults. Connection drops: Even in quiet spaces with strong Wi-Fi, the glasses frequently cut out and lost connection. Range limits: The transcription quality dropped significantly if the speaker was more than a few feet away from me. Group settings: I tested them with my young grandkids at home, at a 4-person restaurant table, in a church sanctuary, and at a 10-person Board meeting. Unfortunately, they could not keep up with the formatting or noise levels in these environments. The company is definitely onto something great here, but the technology just isn't quite there yet for daily accessibility needs. I will gladly try them again when the next iteration is released!
