The battery life is two hours max...you can't wear the glasses all day with the captioning on. I tend to wear the glasses when I know I will be in a hard to hear situation (e.g. dinner in a restaurant, performance etc.). Like others have said, the captioning doesn't work as well in multi voice environments but on the whole, the glasses are very helpful. I am a bilateral cochlear implant recipient and the glasses definitely help in some hard to hear situations.

I’m very happy with my Captify glasses
I’m very happy with my Captify glasses. The captions have made conversations much easier for me, and I love having the extra confidence to communicate without constantly asking people to repeat themselves. Overall, a great product and a big help in everyday life.

What a gem of a concept
What a gem of a concept. My experience is that these glasses are helpful for people who are hard of hearing in loud environments. For people who are deaf they open a whole new world...going to the movies now is an activity. Captioning ones world makes life a lot more pleasant. Thanks Captify

Awesome Tech Support
We ordered this for my deaf sister in law. Not being that tech savvy I arraigned a google meeting with Captify’s Tech Support. That is where I met Isabelle. She worked with my Sister in law and I and got her glasses up and running in minutes. She was so patient working with us and you can tell she has a lot of pride in these glasses. Thank you Captify

What an awesome bit of tech.
I've had these glasses for about a month now and they have been life changing. I am profoundly deaf, work in cancer research and rely on lipreading. The day after I got these glasses I wore them to a seminar-usually the bane of my existence as a scientist. For the first time ever I was able to fully understand a seminar from start to finish while being able to see the slides without having to rely on a third party (interpreter, real time captioning, note taking etc). Normally with a third-party captioning option I need to constantly switch between looking at the slide and at the transcript on my personal device. The glasses were also able to pick up questions asked by the audience which added another layer of comprehension. The accuracy was astounding all things considered, particularly given the jargon-laden nature of a scientific talk. It nailed words like "phosphorylation" and "apoptosis" and "mitosis"-not words normally bandied around during regular conversation.
I've also used them in social situations and they have helped me follow things way better than lipreading alone.
Is the transcription 100% accurate? No. But it's likely more a function of the speech the microphone picks up especially in less-than-optimal settings. Even so the information the transcript provides is more than I would get from lipreading alone. It's less tiring than having to mentally fill in the blanks all the time. Also the accuracy of transcription will only continue to improve as the algorithm gets more experience and exposure with everyday speech. And the latency? In my experience it's less than a second.
My only minor niggle is with the battery life, which seems to max out at around 2.5 hours of constant use. That is likely more a design/space constraint where there is only so much room to cram things into the frame without making the glasses overly bulky and thus uncomfortably heavy.
For me these are a tool to help me understand what is being said in certain situations where my lipreading superpowers are significantly blunted or neutralized entirely. They're not a crutch to lean on 24/7. At least not yet, anyway.

Life-Changing Solution for Hearing Loss
I received my Captify Pro captioning glasses in July 2025, and they have truly been life-changing for me.
At 81 years old, my hearing had declined to the point where hearing aids were no longer effective. While I can still hear sounds, I could no longer understand speech clearly. Before discovering Captify, I relied on my iPhone’s Live Caption feature just to communicate.
These glasses have given me something incredibly valuable back—the ability to participate in conversations again. I can now meet with people, follow discussions, and feel connected in a way I hadn’t in a long time.
There is a learning curve, and it took me a couple of months of regular use to become comfortable. However, practicing with family and friends helped, and Captify’s customer support team was outstanding. They were patient, responsive, and willing to spend time with me—including two Zoom sessions—to make sure I understood how to use the glasses effectively.
What stands out most is the accuracy and speed of the transcriptions—they are the best I’ve experienced. The glasses work especially well in one-on-one conversations and are still helpful in group settings, as long as people aren’t talking over each other. I also appreciate that prescription lenses can be added and that the system continues to improve through regular software updates.
The battery currently lasts about two hours, but it recharges quickly in 30 to 40 minutes. With a little planning, this has not been a major issue for me.
Overall, these glasses have allowed me to reconnect with people and conversations in a meaningful way. With a bit of patience during the learning process, they can make a real difference.

Captify Glasss gives me independence, but text position needs improvement
I am Deaf, and the Captify captioning glasses have helped me a lot in my daily life. The captions are mostly accurate and help me follow conversations and feel more included when I talk with people. This is very important to me as a Deaf person because it helps me communicate more easily in public places, appointments, and everyday conversations.
The glasses are comfortable to wear, and the battery and connection mostly work well. This technology is very helpful and gives me more independence and confidence when communicating with others.
One issue I would like to share is the caption position. The text appears in the mid-level of my vision, and my eyes feel exhausted from reading the text while also trying to see people and the environment through the lens. It can feel stressful because my eyes have to work hard to switch between reading the captions and seeing real life at the same time.
I hope in the future there could be an option to adjust the caption position so it is more comfortable for the eyes. I think it would be very helpful if users could adjust the caption position higher, middle, lower, or side to reduce eye strain and make reading more comfortable.
Overall, I am very happy to use this product, and I believe this technology can really help many Deaf and Hard of Hearing people feel more independent, included, and connected to the world.
