A joke ? Definitely a joke and even not far from being a fraud. I filled the claim form providing all required documents with expenses original receipts. Almost 5 weeks after submitting the form I receive a request to provide the Master Card statement supporting the receipts. The statement was sent and they refuse the claim stating that the statement is not the way to go but need receipts!!!!!! Either a fraud or incompetent or both.

Had I known trying to file a claim would be so challenging, i would have reconsidered using Blue Cross which uses Can'tAssistance as their claims processor!!! The amount of paperwork to get a reimbursement for an Uber claim to get from one airport to another after an airport shut down has been ridiculous!!! and still no decision! And forget trying to speak to someone on the phone...at least 30 minutes on hold to get someone who then transferred me to a claims person and another 90 min hold

I would give this a zero if I could. Terrible customer service since you cannot reach anyone. Was on hold for hours and gave up. The person who wrote my medical problem so I could see a doctor wrote something completely wrong ( and scary) and therefore the clinic would not accept my papers. had to pay in cash and then trying to claim it back was impossible. Horrible!!!

Trying to actually buy from them but was on hold over an hour and then the agent dropped my call (tho had my number but didn’t call me back). This coupled with the rotten reviews tells me to run not walk away!

J’ai été gravement malade lors d’un voyage dans mon pays, le Bénin. J’ai contacté mon assureur, Croix Bleue, qui m’a redirigé vers CanAssistance. Malgré plusieurs tentatives, je n’ai pas réussi à les joindre. J’ai donc dû assumer l’ensemble des frais médicaux sur place. À mon retour, j’ai soumis une demande de remboursement, qui a malheureusement été refusée. L’agent ayant analysé mon dossier semble avoir évalué la situation comme si le système de santé au Bénin était comparable à celui du Canada, ce qui ne reflète pas la réalité. Les motifs de refus évoqués me paraissent incohérents et difficilement justifiables. Depuis, j’ai tenté à trois reprises de contacter le service de contestation. Chaque fois, mon appel est transféré vers un service indisponible, et se termine après plus d’une heure d’attente.

What a joke Can Assistance is! Who runs this gong show of a company. Notice that this is the only place to voice a complaint? Zero support. Moms in Mexico hospital. Took eight days to have claim approved. Thick French accents to add to communication breakdown.Emails go unanswered. Nurses Anne and Melissa from medical team don’t follow through with promise to send update email or return phone call. Lies that hospital is dropping the ball. Over 100 hours waiting on hold and now twelve days later getting call disconnected. Sask Blue Cross zero help. Ellizabelle claim officer hangs up on me. What has our country turned into??? DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. You could die waiting for them.

After ending up with an ear infection due to water infiltration in Dominican Republic I contacted Blue Cross Can Assistance to ask them if I could go to a clinic to have it cleaned and get antibiotics but after 4 days and 3 emails asking the same questions over and over without giving me any positive response I've just forgot about it and took my plane hoping everything would be ok. Worst service ever.

The waiting time is very long when you are sick on vacation and you need to call Can Assistance to request assistance. This is the same when you try to reach the customer service. The waiting time is also very long. The customer rep was patronizing. He told me that it was my responsibility to reach Can Assistance to verify if my file is complete!!!
