Well we bought 2 units a year ago and they worked for a short time then stopped. CPR sent email to buy back out our blocker, so we bought the newest and greatest from CPR and it does not work either.

I have had this model for several weeks. During that time I have had to have assistance from Tech Support, which they provided, in order to answer questions regarding operation, notably getting it to work in the first instance, getting blocked calls to stop ringing and how to block foreign countries or certain area codes. This model appears to be more complicated than I expected. Because of that I do not really care for this model and wished I had ordered the other model. I had one of those and it worked well.

Hi William, Thanks for your feedback. You should not hear a single ring when a blocked caller tries to call you, if this is happening, you will need to change one of the settings on the call blocker. To do this, you will need to follow these steps : 1. Get a dial tone. 2. Press and hold the "Call List" button until you see the number 100 on the screen of the call blocker. If you are still getting the single ring, then you will need to change the call blocker to it's second operating mode, to do that : 1. Get a dial tone. 2. Press and hold the "Call List" button until you see the number 200 on the screen of the call blocker. If you still get the single ring, you will need to put the call blocker in it's third operating mode. To do that : If you are still getting the single ring, then you will need to change the call blocker to it's second operating mode, to do that : 1. Get a dial tone. 2. Press and hold the "Call List" button until you see the number 300 on the screen of the call blocker. One of these settings will solve the problem for you. You can also block area codes or country codes, by following these steps : 1. Get a dial tone. 2. Press and hold the "Block Now" button until you hear a beep. 3. Enter the code **7# area or country code to block # 4. Hang up the phone. It's so wonderful not receiving Scam Calls anymore. The first CPR V10000 i ordered didn't work with my cable phone system. This one does work if i hook it up in the parallel mode of operation using the white telephone cable shipped with the unit. It's so much more relaxing now. I never realized how stressful those scam calls really are! Thank You CPR V10000
