My experience with BuildZoom left me…
My experience with BuildZoom left me deeply dissatisfied, as it became evident that their entire process is geared towards hitting checkpoints to ensure they get paid, rather than genuinely assisting their customers. It felt like a carefully orchestrated scheme designed to maximize their revenue at the expense of providing actual value. From the very beginning, it was apparent that BuildZoom's focus was on pushing projects forward just enough to justify collecting fees rather than ensuring customer satisfaction. The so-called "checkpoints" in their process seemed arbitrary and detached from the actual progress of the construction project. It felt more like a checklist for them to invoice rather than a strategic plan to assist clients in achieving their goals. Communication, or lack thereof, was a significant issue. It seemed like the only time they were prompt in responding was when there was an opportunity to collect more fees. When genuine concerns or questions arose, the responsiveness dwindled, leaving me feeling neglected and frustrated. Moreover, the transparency in their billing process was severely lacking. Hidden fees and ambiguous charges became a recurring theme, making it clear that BuildZoom's primary objective was to maximize their own profits rather than providing a fair and straightforward service to their customers. It's disheartening to see a platform that purports to connect customers with qualified contractors prioritize financial gain over client satisfaction. If you value transparency, honest communication, and a customer-centric approach, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your construction needs. BuildZoom's process is a disservice to those seeking reliable and trustworthy assistance in their building projects.
Response from BuildZoomDec 15, 2023
Hi Eric, I've attempted to reach out to you to get some additional details, however I have not heard back. I'll try and respond to the best of my abilities with the information we have. All in all, I'm not sure I'm completely following your review. You claim that BuildZoom is so focused in hitting ""checkpoints"" and do not care for our clients. It is extremely important to us that each of our clients receives exemplary service, and are sorry that you feel that we did not achieve this in your case. However, what you are commenting in your review here is incorrect. I just completed an in-depth review of your entire BuildZoom journey, and there was not one case where it felt as if our consultants left you waiting for a response back. If anything, it actually seems as if we were actually quite prompt in our responses to you. In your project in particular, our team sourced 9 contractors for you in your area, 3 of which ended up losing interest, and 1 which provided a bid. Without greater context of what you mean by not providing a ""fair and straightforward service"", it's difficult to respond to this exactly. However, we did in fact put in our best effort to find you a contractor to work with, just as we put in the same effort with all of our other projects. Furthermore, I'm not sure I understand your mention of hidden fees. This part of your review seems to be entirely fabricated. We do not have any hidden fees in our process at all. In fact, all of the fees you pay as a part of our service, we review with you and are located on your premium agreement which you signed off on before beginning the project. We also send you an email (and text and/or call in many cases) to let you know that the invoice trigger has been fulfilled and the payment will be due in the next 24 hours. So, when you say that we became focused on collecting fees that were owed, we most definitely be attempting to collect the money that is due from the work and effort that our team performed for you. In fact, the latest fee still does not look like it has been paid by you, despite the work having been completed.
