Do not purchase any appliances from this company. They do not accept any returns.
I bought a microwave and trim kit. It did not fit, so I called the company and they said that they not accept returns, that it is in the policy.
BEWARE!!!!

Don't Buy from BUILD.COM
I purchased several appliances from them for a remodel I was doing. Unfortunately the Samsung dishwasher I purchased was badly damaged. Some of the damage was easily identified - like some scratches on the exterior door of the dishwasher - and after several arguments later, they agreed to cover the cost of the repairs. But I found out later, when I was actually able to install the dishwasher (i.e hooking it up to plumbing lines and power for the first time) and I was unpacking the syrofoam and taking off all the tape from the inside of the unit that I realized the top rack was not pulling out all the way. I noticed that the spinner was hanging way too low. So I call build.com and they basically said - this is no longer our problem, you will have to call Samsung. Samsung sends a repair guy out and realizes that the frame of the dishwasher has been badly damaged. BTW, you can't see the frame damage ever after you take it out of the box because the dishwasher is covered with insulation that doesn't get "bent out of shape". So Samsung says is "phyiscal damage" and that Build.Com is responsible and Build.Com says I didn't report the damage within 48 hours so its not their responsibility. So basically, they sold me a $1,044 brand new dishwasher that is unusable and now they have left me hanging between them and Samsung to fight a battle. All I know is that I didn't break the thing, I paid good money for a machine that was delivered to me in damaged condition. No one can prove where it was damaged - whether it was manufactured that way, which delivery trip it was damaged in or when it was actually damaged. But neither company is willing to step up and help me. They just took my money and ran. Horrible customer service. I would never buy from either company again. #BUILDDOTCOMSUCKS #SAMSUNGSUCKS

Order a Kohler 2 piece toilet and seat…
Order a Kohler 2 piece toilet and seat which were supposed to be in stock. Shipment arrived with bill of lading with 3 items when only the toilet base and the seat were shipped. Later on the same day of delivery i received an email stating that the tank was on back order for over a month out. Sent the two items back earlier that day as the load didn't match the charged paperwork. My whole project is delayed until way after the holidays. now i have to process a refund/return. Will order from a vendor that can have a guaranteed date of delivery as promised. Buy elsewhere!

Smart Key v not
Update. A representative of Build.com responded to my review (see below) almost immediately asking me to contact him directly. I did that twice, both times referring to my review as requested. It's been two weeks, and I haven't heard a word back. Apparently the response to the review is just put out there so other readers will think the Company cared enough to address the issue.
I ordered Kwikset Ashfield locks from Build.com to supplement Kwikset locks I already own. I wanted all my doors keyed alike so I would only have one key. I already own two Kwikset Ashfield lever door locks which are installed on a back door and a garage door, but needed deadbolts to match for each of those doors and a complete front door entry set. As I added each lock to my cart, I was asked if I wanted them keyed to match an existing lock, and each time I said yes, and entered the key code of the current lever sets. At NO TIME, did the site indicate that because the locks I already have aren't smart keyed that they wouldn't be able to key them the same. So I didn't find out that they weren't keyed to match until two of them were already installed on the doors. After they were installed and realizing they didn't match I contacted "customer service" to ask why they weren't keyed as I requested. Only then was I told that they couldn't be keyed to my existing locks because the existing locks weren't smart key locks. It seems to me that if they can set up their system to ask about keying locks the same, they should also be able to set it up to tell you they can't. Each time I added a lock to my cart and was asked if I wanted to key it to match something, I said yes, and each time, the system accepted my key code.
That is why I assumed my new locks would be keyed to that code. Their only offer to "correct" this issue was to allow me to return the locks. BIG DEAL. I have paid to have these locks installed, and will now have to remove them to return them or purchase replacement locks for the two keyed lever locks I already own. Regardless of which option I choose, I will still have to pay for installation of something again. I WILL NOT order from Build.com again.

Thank you for your feedback. I apologize for the confusion with the smart locks vs. non smart locks. Please contact me at [email protected] to see if there is any further resolution I can offer you. Please reference your review in your email.

I do not recommend using Build.com.
I do not recommend using Build.com.
The product doesn't leave the warehouse within 1-2 business days. The handles i purchased are still not shipped on the 4th day. Also, no delay information is provided and customer service is useless!

Zero stars
Zero stars, this business needs to get sued by someone. I ordered 3 ceiling fans from them and the sales guy recommended I also purchase 2 additional items for the fans (down rods, and mounting bases). Turned out I didn't need the additional items so I returned them. After they were received Build.com refunded $67.14 from the sales total of $145.05. The $77.91 that was not returned was deducted as "shipping charges". $77.91 for shipping of 6 items never opened and weighing no more than 10 pounds? Really??? Buyer beware, these guys are thieves! Obviously I will never order from them again.

Awful business to deal with
Bad – unacceptable experience, unreasonable and rude conduct. Will never order from them again. After they have your money they don't want to help you out. And in store credit is a joke.
