As an alternative to Amazon Build fails miserably. Pricing is on par. Customer service is not. I just cancelled my delayed order due to an ignorant and rude customer service agent. Re-ordered immediately through Amazon and it will be delivered in 2 days. Don't waste your time with these clowns

I hadn't noticed the return policy said that you have to return stuff in original packaging. My bad and my loss. Will go to a place that provides SERVICE next time. Better yet, let the contractor order and, for his slight mark up, ensure towel bars etc don't delay your project and result in project overruns.

Made an order on 8/28 for kitchen door pulls and hinges that were said to be in stock. Received conformation order to be shipped and delivered in 5 to 7 days. They split up the order and I received a few door pulls about 10 days after order date, second package with rest of door pulls and some door hinges a few days after that, and just received email saying last of shipment will be sent out on 10/2. Very poor shipping. This is for a remodel job and customer pays the consequences for not having the products.

There are lots of positive reviews, but my experience was not. After carefully researching product alternatives, I ordered some door knobs for a new build on the website. 17 days later I received half of what I ordered. I had to call to find out why and was told they were discontinued. I really don't want to use two different kinds of door knobs in this new home. Now I need to send these back and start again. I simply don't have time for this and consequently won't use Build.com again. BTW the customer service staff was friendly and as helpful as they could be.

I was doing a remodel. Ordered over $1K worth of products from this company. Vital plumbing parts were shipped from two separate locations via UPS to the post office in my town, then turned over to the USPS Sure Post to deliver to me.(Guess it's cheaper than UPS to my door??) Both packages not addressed correctly so both were "undeliverable". Long story short I ended up having to order a piece from Amazon which cost me quite a bit more because I had to order one piece of a "set" I had tried to order from build. Also, with the time lost because of their choice of shipping method I had to have my Amazon order shipped overnight so the plumber could rough in the plumbing and the tile could be completed. Asked build.com if they would at least reimburse me for the extra amount I had to pay because their choice of shipping was the cause of the entire headache. Received a "Sorry, we can't do that. We know Sure Post is a problem and we're working on it but we just can't reimburse you the difference". So the $50 it would have cost them to make it up to a customer who had spent over $1,000 with them wasn't worth it?? Hope that $50 was worth losing any future business of mine and receiving a poor review. Save yourself the trouble and headache and just order from Amazon.

I called 3 times for a quote in the last week and was placed on hold for 5-10 min to be ask " what did you want ? " when they got someone on the phones . Whoever is running this place needs to understand I called to spend money not wait on the phone . Get your act together . Jeff
