Worst company I’ve ever dealt with. I had to open a fraud case with my bank because they would not take back their defective merchandise.

Purchase 60in double sink vanity w/Carrara marble counter, 2 faucets, and two toliets for 2nd floor bathroom 3 weeks ago. After.. two really nice delivery company's contracted me to setup delivery, they let me know that there were no options. They also said this is an on going problem with build.com. So frustrating. Been waiting over 3weeks and super extcited about this purchase. Will not purchase from build.com again, its too complicated. No delivery options.

The worst customer service ever. Paid two days shipping and haven't received the item on time for project completion. Called Build. Service rep Dan (I wish I'd asked for his last name and ein #), was talking to me like he is doing me a favor. Despite the fact that my order came late, it wasn't possible to prove the point and get the extra shipping charge back. I wonder now, why to even deal with this place??? There are so many, so reputable places out there!!! Never again.

Very deceptive operation. My credit card was immediately charged for the item. However the vendor was unable to confirm shipping date on the item that was advertised to be in stock.

I was scammed by Build.com to the tune of several hundred dollars several months ago. It hurt so much that today, just taking a shower, I decided to find a venue to leave a comment. Sure enough I read other reviews saying nearly identical stories. I bought two Kohler shower doors for near $500. Build.com advertised them as an incredible clearance item. Turned out what they were really selling were HALF of the shower. You had to buy the other shower door and the frame at regular price ! It was in the fine print. There a special place in hell for people like this. They would not take the merchandise back unless I ponied up $150 for shipping. Then I got coned into buying two other shower doors as replacements in order to avoid the shipping charge. Altogether I ended up spending $1000. The salesman was incredibly skilled. NO matter how much I screamed, he stayed cool and directed me into buying more, as if acting from a script. My question: how Build.com survives when there are places like Home Depot where you can take anything back months later without any questions asked? Just why people would order from Build.com? The prices are not lower. Oh, I remember; they scam you with too-good-to-be true clearances. Like I said I wish them a very warm place in their place of eternal rest.

I purchased a stove, had to return, was told if I purchased another appliance they would credit return charge. Attempted to contact Jay Shabbar by phone and email to answer questions about dishwasher I wanted to purchase and he was never available. After weeks of getting “out of office” emails and would not answer phone calls, Build credited the return of $480 and kept $339 (shipping & restocking fee) to profit with no intention of selling me another appliance.

Build.com contracts with R+L shipping and the shipping company is so big that they do not care what happens to your things. I spoke with a rep from the shipping company and he basically stated that they have been in contract with Build.com for so long that my issue is not a big deal. They dropped off a GLASS door at the bottom of the driveway which is 1/4 of a mile long and just drove off. That is what they considered curbside. If I am to hear about others wanting to improve their home, I would not suggest Build.com because their carrier is way too big of a company to worry about how they handle your materials.

I should have given -ve stars if possible. The most horrid customer service ever. No one ever picks up the phone. Over chat you have to wait up to an hour to get a hold of someone and God forbid if you happen to be in the restroom at that time, the build.com agent does not even wait 30 sec for you before disconnecting. Their web site has misleading information on prod availability and time lines and their delivery dates keep changing. If you are on a project with unending timeline and can afford to spend upwards of 1 hour to speak with customer service, build.com is perfect for you. Otherwise stay away. They are actually not a business but a bunch of middlemen with phones who have no control over their inventory and flow.
