BudsiesReviews of budsies.com

Budsies did a really good job bringing my son’s drawing to life. The plush looks very close to the original picture he drew, which was the most important thing to us. They were also very kind and communicative throughout the process. They reached out to confirm color choices, and I trusted their judgment on what would look best, which I appreciated. There were a few minor issues that made the plush feel slightly unfinished, or possibly intentionally left that way. The hat is very floppy since there is no stuffing inside, and it is only stitched in four sections, leaving openings where fingers can easily go inside the hat. Another point is the star globe staff. Budsies did notify me ahead of time that it would be considered an accessory and required an additional $22 charge, which I agreed to and paid. However, the final result of the staff was a bit disappointing. It is very flimsy and does not hold up like a staff should. I did purchase the sneak preview and approved the final design, not realizing how noticeable some of these small details would be in person, especially how flimsy the staff is. That said, overall, I am still happy with the finished look of the plush despite these issues. Most importantly, my kiddo is happy with it too, though he also noticed and was a bit annoyed by the same points. Overall, it’s a lovely keepsake with great effort put into matching the artwork, just with a few details that could be improved.

I am yet to give it to the child, waiting until Xmas,

The body is good and is very accurate to the drawing, but the scars were made brown instead of a red-ish tone. The neck is too long and the scarf is just a tied piece of cloth instead of being stitched at one point. The hair is only attached at the very top and feels insanely flimsy, and the front of the hair is one single part instead of being separated into the main part and the bangs, the front hair also is very short and reveals way too much of the face compared to the original reference. Overall, it's a decent plushie, but I am immensely disappointed with the hair

overall design of the plushies and stuff is alright but there does seem to be a slight communication gap between the seamstresses as I asked for some changes only for the next set of images to not have those changes made

They were more cartoony than I wanted. I ordered 6 for my Grandchildren, 5 were "right". The last one was so bad I wouldn't send it. I expressed my concerns and they offered a remake. Hopefully, this time it will be better.

the beads were all bunched in one spot. The eyes weren’t straight or even. Everything else was perfect!

My budsie took a long time. I first put in the order in June and I've only just now received him in October. The original estimated shipping date was in August. Bear in mind, I am in Canada, but even still taking 2 extra months to get to me got me rather nervous. Other thing is, as any other review might tell you for budsies, the finished product is not going to be 100% what you envisioned. They are a bigger company and therefore are more likely going to make some design decisions that you may not have made would you be making it yourself. I went in deciding I'd be okay with this, but also made sure to pay extra for their revision service. I do love my plush, but the process of getting him brought some anxieties and there are indeed some aspects I would change should I have known about them.

The product was beautiful, but I found the price to be too high and it took too long to get here.
