BUDKReviews of budk.com

I have ordered several items over the past years. Now they are charging sales tax to ship to Missouri. They told me Missouri required this, NOT true I order alot of things online and we only pay sales tax on online orders, if the company has a business in the state. They also have started charging the .99 insurance, this only covers what they are already responsible for. They told me that its ONLY .99. Well take that by 10,000 orders that is an additional $9,900. WOW! Shipping cost has also went up. A $17.00 dollar knife was going to cost me $31.00. I will NEVER order from BUDK again.

Crapy customer service, i mean very bad. They charge tax for wholesale orders Be aware of this company, and read all reviews before buy from here if you wanna avoid hussle.

Terrible customer service. If you happen to have moved in the last year and you have a PO Box (because perhaps, like me and many other Americans, USPS doesn't deliver to your home address) they will cancel your order, not tell you about it, and then refuse to reinstate it. Even if, like me, you've been a customer in the past and even if, as I did, you comply with their request to send a photocopy of your DL. Which I did after *I* went online to find out what was taking so long with my order... and discovered then that it had been canceled. I repeat, without ANYONE notifying me. So if you have an out of date DL or a PO Box you're just SOL, I guess! Bad policy, worse service! Stay away!

I ordered the 25 dollar grab bag on 7/20 I recieved the shtf mystery box instead. I called and was told to either keep it or it would take a long time to get the right item, so i kept it and waited till 8/20 to try again and the exact same thing happened it is even the same bax down to the items inside. I called on tuesday to let them know and to try to get it fixed. I was told she would have to talk to the warehouse to find out why i was recieving the wrong thing and she would call me back the next day. I waited till friday before I called back this time the lady was nice and helpful but was told yet again they could send me a shipping label and i could send it back to get the right bag but it could take awhile so i asked to get my money back instead. Im still waiting on the shipping label and return letter. Im sorry to say but this was there fault and it happened twice they should do the right thing and send me the correct bag without me having to wait for this crap to ship back. total BS.

Been a customer for over 20 years & have watched their catalogs become more & more right-wing, racist & just plain offensive. The Pro-Trump cover of the latest catalog was the last straw. I don't want my little girl exposed to this type of blatant partisan propaganda, not to mention the plethora of Nazi, Hitler Youth & Third Reich "memorabilia". I only ever purchased Hibben knives & classic swords but I now regret ever giving one dime to Bud K. Never again.

Customer service is crap. Nothing but excuses and run around. Make sure you read every little loophole and fine print you can find or they will make every excuse and point out anything they can to say they were not in the wrong. Even when you click on product and it said in stock and ships today. It won't show up for a week. That's if you pay extra for 2 day express like I did.

Disapointed

I have had nothing but great customer service here. I had a knife that broke first time I used it. They sent out a replacement no questions next day. They were running behind due to the pandemic on their knife of the mo the shipment,. When I called they told me the truth and it shipped when they said it would. I don't ask for much more than that. If you get the knife of the month I reccomend the $29 dollar one at least
