From the very first phone call to the last screw put in for the chairlift, I could not be more pleased. It made it so easy for my husband to get up and down 15 steps and to add to a great experience, the help with my groceries getting them up those 15 steps.

Best Purchase Ever
Best Purchase Ever! We ordered our Bruno Stair Lift from Seiberts Mobility in Iowa City. They have to be one of the best, if not THE BEST ever, for their customer service and kindness. It was an absolute pleasure to deal with them. Their service technicians are so kind and helpful. Left things better than when they arrived. The office staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. My husband and I both love our SRE-2010. We ordered it with the larger seat and footrest. It is truly the "Cadillac" of stair lifts. It is very well built and solid, giving you a feeling of safety and security as you use it. Yet, when not in use, folds up and out of the way.

This is the Second unit we purchased within the year and althou both work well the most recent one is decidely slower and it cost more than the unit we bot 12 months prior. So we wonder why and would like it to more somewhat brisker.

Bruno Elite Stairlift
We purchased a Bruno Elite stairlift in March 2021 for use by my husband, who had a stroke and can no longer walk. While we are thankful we have the stairlift, it has some drawbacks that should be considered.
First, the "motherboard" on our stairlift failed three months after installation. We do not use the stairlift often, only about once a month. The lift had been used only 3-4 times when this failure occurred. Luckily it was still under warranty. Because our installer does not keep this part in stock, we had to wait for Bruno in Wisconsin to order a new one from China. We were without the stairlift for a good three weeks.
Second, we wish we had not gotten the foot-rest feature. It is not meant as a step, and cannot bear any weight. When you put any weight on it by mistake, it won't return to its upright position, and it screws up the operation of the lift, requiring another service call.
Third, it would make things much easier if the chair would turn at both ends of the stairs rather than just at one end.
Fourth, make sure you get a good idea from your installer as to how much room the stairlift will take up on the stairs. Ours takes up over half the width of the stairs, and also prevents us from opening our front door more than 6-8 inches.
It is also a problem if the user is prone to losing their balance and needs someone to hold them steady, because there is no place for an aide to walk alongside the lift. The seatbelt is a good feature, but doesn't prevent the rider from tipping over.
All in all, the Bruno Elite stairlift is passable. If I had to do it over again, I'd probably invest extra money and install an elevator instead. It eliminates the need to transfer someone from a wheelchair to the stairlift and back again.
