Bruno Independent Living AidsReviews of bruno.com

The unit travels as advertised. The seat electrical turn function does not lock in position and has substantial play at the position were the person exits. This is a problem when being used. Not what was described by the seller. Other functions are acceptable.

During an annual check of the stairlift, the technician David, discovered that the original installer (not American Stairlift) had installed it improperly. He returned with Eric and they completely disassembled and reassembled the device properly. They went over and above taking care of my stairlift to meet my needs and make sure that it would have a longer lasting life. We are extremely grateful. Thank you.

I’m very pleased to be able to get up and down my stairs with greater ease. I’m upset that one of the stairlifts is noisy, seems to moan, groan, clink and clank. I mentioned this to the person who installed it the same day he installed it. He suggested that it would get better. It did not. He was out today to look at it. He stayed about one minute, said he did an adjustment and gave me a little song and dance. After he left everything was exactly the same. I feel as if he didn’t want to take the time to do the job correctly. The other stairlift is exactly the same and was installed the same day by a different person. It is fine. Needless to say, I’m upset about the needless noise I endure with one of my stairlifts.

I have no quarrel with the machine itself. It seems well made and well designed - for a stairwell going from a first floor to a second floor. It is totally inappropriate for a basement stairwell however. Basement stairwells typically have heavy woodwork around the doorway, woodwork that gets in the way of the swivel mechanism. I have figured out how to cope with it but not until I creamed my arthritic knees more times than I care to count. If you are in an older house with substantial woodwork around your basement door, please consider another Bruno model (unless you have a short inseam in which case there will be no problem whatsoever). If you need a chair lift for something other than a basement stairwell, I think you will be quite happy with this Bruno model. Just watch out for the excessive woodwork of an old house!

The guys that put in my Bruno were fantastic. My Bruno is great, except I would prefer that the chair swivel both ways. It will be hard for me to get out of the chair, where it lands down stairs.

Product is well made, and is exactly what I need to regain some independence.

Sales process was easy and not pushy. Installation date was prompt. Installation was great. The person who did it was meticulous and it was a painless experience. The chairlift is proving to be invaluable.

Works great at helping me go up and down the stairs.
