Until Q1 of 2025, bolt.new was working pretty well. It was the #1 of these vibe coding tools. I use them for mockups, dummies, demos, proof of concepts. But update after update, bolt got worse, more expensive and slower. This went so far, that since Q3 (even before v2) bolt got so bad, my daily demos went from up to 10, down to 0. This is not exaggerating. It fails creating simple structures of folders. it fails to reference internal files it has created itself with wrong paths. It keeps stuck in error loops. It says it init or edited code, but there are literally 30+ fully empty projects that have wasted over 100mil of tokens for me. This tool is now practically useless, yet you can still pay hundrets of dollars without a single warning about how broken their tool is.

Very disappointing experience with Bolt.new. The launch of the latest version was a disaster. The new version was apparently released without sufficient testing. Basic functions did not work properly, which had a massive impact on our work. For a service that positions itself as a professional tool, this is unacceptable. Particularly problematic: there was no timely announcement of the changes. Users were simply presented with a fait accompli without being able to prepare themselves. Anyone who depends on stability and reliability should look for alternatives. Trust in this service has been permanently damaged by this approach. Conclusion: The lack of quality assurance and communication shows that the interests of users are not being served here. There are more stable alternatives on the market.

Terrible support...actually worse than terrible, it's non-existent! It might be ok for basic app layout and design, but once you start adding functions, the project does not work. Credit is burned from errors introduced by Bolt, resulting in a circular burning of credits while introducing new errors that it then tries to solve. When reaching out to support, whether on Discord, their autoresponse bot, or email, there was zero response...nearly three weeks...and still waiting... To give a specific example, I had a problem with their "Revert to Prior Version" option due to all the new errors introduced by Bolt which results in an never-ending spinning wheel (I even let it run overnight). Other users also had the same issue. Stay away from this scam, their marketing machine is impressive, their delivery and execution is a scam.

I’ve officially had it with Bolt. They are hands down the most unprofessional company I’ve ever dealt with — and I say that as someone who’s handled plenty of complex consumer disputes. Six days ago, I submitted a formal complaint about their AI assistant “Sam” providing incorrect information. Sam told me that my ~241 million tokens (approx $400 worth, purchased outside any subscription) would roll over if I upgraded to a paid plan. I made account decisions based on that. Later, a human agent admitted Sam was wrong — but instead of offering a remedy, they sent me a cancellation link and closed the conversation. No resolution. No accountability. And now? Silence. Not even the courtesy of a reply. I feel continually ignored. Even the CEO hasn’t responded. These tokens are set to expire on 11 October 2025. I paid for them outright. Bolt’s own AI misinformed me. Their support team acknowledged the mistake — and still, they’re letting the tokens expire without offering a fix. What I asked for: Written confirmation that my tokens won’t expire; or If that’s not possible, a full refund or reissue of the token balance as non-expiring. What I got: Nothing. Just a closed ticket and a cancellation link

waste of money. i give a prompt + picture, but it gives basic design. Gemini is 100 times better than Bolt, and Gemini also supports multiple coding languages + videos

Make you realize your dream but collapse everything at end (function,design, logics) like robot destruction. Waste of time and money

The platform is unmitigated junk. It does not even do basic commands properly such as fetch stock data, rank them by momentum, build simple equal weight or momentum weight portfolios etc which after giving the logic any person with basic knowledge of excel will do properly. Despite repeated trials, it keeps giving illogical / fictional output with no clue on how to generate the right output or selections. As good as junk

I wanted Bolt to work, but my experience has been extremely frustrating. The platform constantly broke down with persistent project size errors, corrupted edits, and failed rollbacks. Even after reverting to earlier versions, the site remained unusable. I spent over two months troubleshooting instead of building, and burned through millions of credits with nothing to show for it. What should have been a streamlined tool became a huge blocker and waste of time. Bolt might have potential, but right now it is not stable or reliable for production use. I cannot recommend it for anyone who values their time or needs consistency.
