We stayed at London Paddington Bob W in the original studio with a kitchenette
We stayed at London Paddington Bob W in the Original Studio – Kitchenette, and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing and not what we expected from the listing.
Firstly, the photos online only showed one style of room, and our apartment looked completely different. We were really looking forward to the room based on the photos, so it was disappointing to arrive and find that it had a completely different look and feel.
Secondly, the listing states that a gym is included for free, but you aren't told the location of the gym until after you have booked and paid. The gym was around a one-hour walk away from the property, which was completely impractical for us. Had we known this beforehand, we would not have booked the accommodation.
Lastly, the "kitchenette" was extremely limited. I understand that a kitchenette isn't the same as a full kitchen, but this had very little functionality. The fridge was so small it could barely fit one meal, the sink was tiny to the point where washing one dish resulted in water going everywhere, and there was no oven or stove — only a basic microwave. For a stay where having a kitchenette was one of the reasons we booked, this was very disappointing.
The positives were that Bob W's communication was excellent. Whenever we sent a message, they responded very quickly and provided helpful recommendations. We also appreciated being able to book a room clean during our stay, which was convenient.
Overall, though, we found the listing quite misleading, particularly regarding the room appearance, gym access and kitchenette. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would not book with Bob W again.

Svårt att boka
Svårt att boka. Svårt att komma in på hotellet. Frukostmatsalen långt bort. Spårvagnar som lät ute på gatan.

Bed bugs, and the hotel dismissed me
Stayed 25-28 August. The room had bed bugs and I woke up covered in bites across my whole body. I contacted the hotel directly before writing this review, as a courtesy and to give them a chance to respond, but I wasn't taken seriously and nothing was done. I'd think twice before booking here.

My 23 yr old daughter starting het…
My 23 yr old daughter starting het first job needed to stay in London for a week before moving into rented accommodation. She is on her own so I told her not book an air bnb and to stay in a hotel where she would feel safer. She booked this not realising its an airbnb in all but name. She spent £1000 of her own money before she's even started her first paid job. Expedia contacted them to ask for a refund or at least a partial refund as there is no way this type of accommodation is safe for a single young girl to stay in .They refused. They won't reply, it's difficult to get a telephone number when I've tried the number is not registered. A partial refund would have been acceptable and the company should have used their discretion over the mistake. I feel they have just robbed my daughter of £1000.
Having read other reviews my gut instinct was correct. People have reported no inside locks on the doors and someone caught a pervert watching them in one of the hotels

Awful BobW - We do not recommend at all
Oh my goodness. What to not write about. Simply put the worst place ever stayed in in London. I am a frequent traveller to London, and this is by far the worst stay ever.
Hygiene and cleanliness does not feature in their standards. Room was dirty, dusty, people who stayed before had left stuff which was not removed. Kettle had water in it from previous guest, cups were dirty, wardrobe handles were a bit sticky. The room is a bit worn/run down - paint peeling off/a chip in odd places. Fan has dust all over it, the cutlery were dirty and dust on them. The toilet was not cleaned as small streak marks were visible when we checked in. TV switch-off does not work so TV is on all the time unless unplugged from the socket. Only one light working in the kitchenette the other is obviously broken.
Clean bath towels are not there - mine had 4-5 black dots, and small bit of paper. Towels look old; Bed not properly made up very evident on the inside wall side as was all crumbled up as person making the bed obviously cannot climb on the bed and probably not easy to move the bed so as to fix it correctly.
I also suggested that they introduce into each room a welcome pack of small detergent (fairy liquid travel size), one closed and sealed sponge, closed and sealed tea towel or small sealed paper towels (the one there already looks used).
Nice positive touches: room is nicely designed, compact and has wonderful touches to it as the tote bag, the multi-plug, the camera (fantastic idea)
We gave them all this feedback as well as suggested improvements (which they thanked us for) and said would escalate and assured us they will get them done whilst we are out.
We came back tonight and they did not do what they committed to.
Its very clear that their commitment to the customer on hygiene and cleanliness is non existent. We are shocked, disappointed and upset by the low standards they have displayed and their lack of commitment to the promises made.
In short when staying in London, we DONOT recommend them.

A “no fully connected” hotel…
### A “fully connected” hotel… except to the Internet
Wilde Berlin Mitte markets itself as a modern, digital, “fully connected” hotel. On paper, everything is there: online check-in, smart TVs, workspaces and, above all, **free high-speed Wi-Fi**, which the hotel itself promotes as an important feature, particularly for longer stays and guests working remotely.
In reality: **8 days without Wi-Fi during a 10-day stay.**
It is difficult to imagine a more ironic situation.
This was not a minor connectivity issue lasting a few hours. Eight days means almost the entire stay. And when a hotel builds part of its identity around digital services, this is no longer a minor technical inconvenience: **it is a major failure of the service being advertised.**
What is even more revealing is this whole idea of being “fully connected.” If you replace traditional hotel services with digital solutions, the technology actually needs to work. Otherwise, you end up with the worst of both worlds: **less human service and no reliable digital service either.**
A hotel can survive a broken light bulb or a coffee machine that stops working. But advertising “free high-speed Wi-Fi,” presenting yourself as a modern hotel suitable for connected travellers and remote workers, and then leaving your guests **without Internet for 8 days** is extremely difficult to justify.
The irony is almost comical: a hotel determined to project an ultra-modern image ended up giving us an experience from the days when the Internet didn’t exist\.

**Being “fully connected” sounds great in a brochure\. It would be even better if the Wi\-Fi actually worked\.**
The location is good and the property has several positive features, but for us, this prolonged outage seriously damaged the experience and raises real questions about the hotel’s digital promise.
