Had a Bank of the West account since 2018 no problems ever since it's BMO fees everywhere. They even charged me an annual fee on a secured credit card. customer service hangs up the phone, and I believe there's a $10 service fee for calls. I think they're just trying to get me to call over and over again so they can bleed all the money out of my account that way they won't have to send me a check. Chat can't help me, now my account's Frozen I can't access my money, they won't close the account and send me a check even though when I call this morning she said it would be done by the end of the day. every time I call asking if the account is closed they tell me they can't give me an answer for security reasons . They kicked me out of zelle and marked it confirmed fraud when I've never committed any fraud when I asked to speak to the person who made the decision they said they can't receive phone calls these jerk offs are up in Canada so they don't give a crap when I call they hang up worst banking experience ever

I wish i would have researched better or read these reviews before opening my account. Presently, my card is locked for the second time in less than a month because of a regular purchase I make. My job doesnt do direct deposit, so i have to use mobile deposit. Most times, I'm waiting 6 days for my measly $500,with one exception, where i was able to use the fundsnow service. This bank is awful. After i call them later this morning to unlock my account, I'll be pulling out my money and closing this account. Do not use this bank!!!

The customer service rep hung up on me when I asked to transfer to another person who could accept my payoff amount in full. Her accent was thick. I had trouble understanding her.

Horrible bank. Very slow. Bad communication. They received a settlement check from my insurance company on a total loss vehicle 8 days ago and haven't cashed it nor applied it to my account yet. Every other player in this settlement: my insurance co., the GAP insurance co., the other driver's insurance co. and the police have ALL responded in e timely fashion two weeks ago. Not BMO, they're still dicking around.

My recent experience with this bank’s customer service was an absolute nightmare. I was met with repeated disrespect and arrogance from the representatives, particularly one named Alex. Throughout the call, Alex kept telling me to 'calm down' in an extremely sarcastic tone, which only made things worse. Rather than resolving my issue, I had to keep repeating myself as they continuously asked the same questions. The lack of professionalism was appalling — I felt like I was being harassed rather than helped. To make matters worse, the background noise during the call was unbearable, making it hard to even hear the conversation properly. It was a chaotic environment, and the representative seemed more interested in making me feel inferior than addressing my concerns. At one point, I was even asked if I had spoken to the police, which was completely irrelevant and inappropriate. This was, by far, the most frustrating and unprofessional interaction I've ever had with any bank. I was left feeling disrespected, unheard, and utterly disappointed by how this institution handles customer concerns. If this is the standard, I highly advise others to avoid this bank at all costs."

They are horrible. I'm so done with this bank. Go anywhere else! They have only a few locations and same with atms. I have been with them since they were the bank of the west. I have tried to stick it out with them.But I am just fed up, trust me and go somewhere else!
