Predatory marketing practices; OUTRIGHT LIES
I bought a BlueGreen vacation through Bass Pro Shops about a month ago. It was one of those discounted packages intended to sell you a timeshare. At the time, I was 23. The agent took down my birthday, so she was aware of how old I am. A couple weeks later, I go online to book and learn that you must be 25 to book the trip and take advantage of the offer. I had to waste time on the phone getting a refund, and the time spent planning before I booked also went down the drain. I ended up getting a refund from BlueGreen vacations, but this type of predatory marketing is unacceptable. The salespeople did not care who was signing up or if they were even eligible, it was all about hitting the quota. I do not want to deal with any company that engages in these types of business practices, and I encourage others not to, too. To make matters worse, the parent company had the audacity to call me later that day asking why I canceled, and asking if I wanted to book another one through a different company. NO THANK YOU, I’ve already been burner once.
