I recently ordered the large deli sandwiches for a party. When they arrived I noticed that there was more bread than lunch meat and cheese. The guests were literally pulling the bread off of the top of the sandwich. Then to top it off I am grateful they put the lettuce and tomato separate, however instead of any form of lettuce they gave me kale!!! Have you ever tried to eat raw kale on a sandwich. It was terrible Will not be ordering the sandwiches again unless I tell them hold the lettuce. Plus there were no condiments (i.e. mayo, mustard, etc.)

3 visits to patch one of their tires. No staff to do work. Why? Never again tires plus is so much better. Regret getting tires here. BJs is not consumer friendly.

I do like BJ wholesale for a variety of reasons especially their selections however their recent policy on the auto check out to opt in membership renewal is just wrong to the consumer. Folks should be allowed to opt in I agree but not forced to opt out.

Was happy with BJ for years but since Covid19, everything has fallen apart. The prices used to be exceptional (and worth the membership price). Now, there is barely a discount vs. grocery stores or big box stores so I no longer save the $55 membership fee anymore. A particular store is out of many items on my list and I have to shop a different BJ or get the item at big box anyway. Store-brand items (diswasher soap) with an active coupon do not exist in the store and employees say they have not gotten a shipment in months so removed the display/price sticker. There is a recent change to coupons where you have to use the BJ app or website since they do not accept paper coupons anymore (supposedly to keep the employees healthy--but that is a lie since they are just thrown in the trash). The app takes around 2 hours to setup and requires "auto renewal" of membership. I get a call from credit card fraud department at 7am on Saturday August 1 since the auto-renew triggered the fraud system (charge from Massachusetts at 2am). I have been trying to cancel membership for the past 3 days and not successful. The phone number for membership is disconnected. Tried to cancel in-store and manager says they cannot refund the auto-renewal and I need to talk to corporate. I asked for the phone number and was given the same disconnected number. They used to be a good company, but I would avoid them until they get their act together.

For the last 12 months I have been looking at the quality of Bjs fruit. Bjs sells rotting fruit. The bananas go from green skinned to rotten: the box of tangerines that are very expensive go bad within a few days as with the oranges. Check the oranges for fungus. A couple days ago I bought a bag of Golden delicious apples: most of the apples had started to breakdown. Each time I go to bjs I find that the shoppers are getting less and less. A direct result of the high priced garbage that is now being sold. I went through a bag of onions squeezing each one to make sure they were good. I shop at Avenue D and Remsen Avenue in Brooklyn.
