BJ's Wholesale ClubReviews of bjs.com

The prices are decent but the selection is frequently lacking. The last straw was 2 factor authetication to sign into my account. It consistently doesn’t work and why at a retail store? Makes no sense. NOT renewing.

I purchased gift cards through this website after verifying it’s reputable. While I might have saved a little money, I made up for it in wasted time and undue stress. After spending an hour and half at the store I purchased the cards for, I learned they were not valid and had no money associated. I immediately reached out to customer care and spent another 20+ minutes back and forth on chat. Then had to provide more info. I did receive an email later that day saying cards are now activated. No apology or anything. I had to call and verify each card before making another trip to store and save myself embarrassment of hassle again. I will report they are showing a balance on them now. So if you want to save $50 buy spend 2 hours fixing it all in order to use them, then this site is for you. I will not be utilizing these website in future. It may have been a one time mistake, but how would one know when the company never really gave a reason as to what happened, offered apology or any future discount/gift for time and trouble. Best of luck!

Honestly the workers are nice and say hello back or answer questions when asked but I can tell often they are overwhelmed with their duties and seems like less staff in store than four or five years ago, sad as technology isn't more enjoyable an experience than actual people imo. The meat quality is still better than other grocery stores I go to occasionally (especially the ground beef), compared to the mega wall grocery mart place and the named after a large cat grocery store for example, but the boneless chicken breast is hit or miss these days so I stick with the bone in thigh packs now. Good prices comparatively, although it's gone up similarly to other retailers and packages shrank on certain things. Quality is important to me like many others who shop for value over straight up cheapest price so hopefully they keep that in mind while integrating changes.-Taylor Rd Chesapeake VA location shopper

BJ's non-perishable goods and packed/sealed perishables like cheeses, juices, etc. are fine. However, many fresh fruit and vegetable items are not. I recently purchased a bag of tangerines and one of blueberries from their Port Orange store. The tangerines were mostly rotten and had to be disposed of and ½ of the blueberries were spoiled.

This is the second time in a row my order was delivered and missing items. First time it was coffee and I ended up having to go to the store to get a refund from customer service. Defeats the purpose of home delivery of ihave to drive 30 minutes to the store after receiving a delivery. BJS needs to handle this better in general. Now today I order some items. Driver had laid out all items outside of my building on the floor. I understand these items were packages, but who wants to use something that has been sitting on the floor. Also, I ordered a 25lb bag of rice and it had a hole in it, so once again I'm going back to the store for exchange. Once again, defeats the purpose of home delivery if the only remedy to issues with an order is to go back to the store to resolve. I'm considering using another service or paying someone to go shop for me as this is a major inconvenience and shouldn't have happened (twice). DO BETTER BJS.

BEWARE Three stars only because of in store service and quality and price of some products. But, members BEWARE, this is the second year in a row that BJ’s tried to charge us double the cost for our membership. When questioned they respond with some unintelligible jibberish.

I have saved money with my BJ's membership, but that's only because I only paid $25 for the year (do a Google search & you can find the deal). I wish they carried their own brand in more products because I don't need name brand dish sponges. But that's all they carry. Also it's spotty whether or not they have the product I'm looking for from one shopping trip to the next. I think when this year expires I'll bite the bullet & spring for a Costco membership as they not only have more items in their store brand and are closer to me, they also cary high-end skincare.
