My online profile was locked so I couldn't make meal choices (which was a driving factor for choosing bistroMD). Customer service agent was condescending and dismissive and would not help resolve the issue so my only option was to cancel and select another company. Technical errors are forgivable, rude service is not. I don't have to spend money to be treated poorly, I can get that for free!

Love the food and the staff. super easy program thats lets this stay at home mom easily prepare my own food whole making the kids dinner. i dont feel like im earing frozen entrees. Also the price is pretty great. Don't love the first week and trying to figure out when your shipment is coming and when to cancel to avoid next shipment when you are finished with the program.

Paid $24 for delivery a week ago...hasn't even shipped yet...it's Thursday. I called and they say they ship mon, tues, we'd, thurs, so I'm wondering how they can garantee delivery so food is available without a break. A diet does no good if you have to wait 4 days between your 7 day cycle. I already canceled service. Diet to go pickup at least garantees your food will be there on certain days.

The food was great. All the food groups were represented in all meals and I didn't have to cook anything to add. This made the eating plan easy to follow and adhere to. As a result, I lost 14 pounds in about 3 and a half months. The food was tasty and felt full after eating. I didn't know how great this program was until I tried another program that required points/calorie tracking, had bland food, and required me to cook my own vegetables. I needed easy and effective and bistroMD is just that.

Well, I really wanted to love this business! The Pros: I really loved their website and the fact that the foods seem really fresh and the fact that they allow you to choose your own custom menu. The Cons: I signed up for a special offer for 5 days of Bistro MD. I wanted to give it a try and see if I liked their foods, the intro plan seemed just the way to do it. Well, my cc was charged again (for week 2) before I even received week 1! I immediately contacted their customer service and they were responsive and quickly un-enrolled me from the continuing delivery. I received an email back from them that contained this: "Our company is built on the foundation of integrity, both in the products we offer and in how we interact with others. We find that our members experience the greatest success in transforming their lives when the integrity of the promise they make to themselves, to follow the program and invest in their futures, is upheld. I have found when choosing our program that everyone has a vision, the possibility of what their lives can be. This may entail better overall health, becoming a lighter you, improved self-image, and increasing activity. These visions can fade over time but they are just as relevant today as when you first began your journey." Um, are they trying to reprimand me for not upholding the "promise they make to themselves" for canceling?! Anyway, so I just chose to ignore that. Once I received my food, it was a HUGE disappointment. I only got probably 50% of the food that I actually wanted from the menu that I took the time to customize. They sent me a lot of foods that I don't even eat. These were not the foods I ordered! Another big issue that I had is the "juices" are powder. The foods are all frozen and have a million ingredients including dicalcium phosphate, sodium bicarbonate, xanthan gum, guar gum, dextrose, potassium chloride… Not really what I was thinking when I thought this would be a great way to eat healthy, whole foods without all that processed junk. The Pineapple Orange drink is "hydrolyzed gelatin, whey protein concentrate, citric acid, maltodextrin, laic acid, potassium citrate, natural and artificial flavors, beta carotene, tricalcium phosphate, turmeric color, sucralose, turmeric powder" - gross! No way am I putting that in my body! Plus there is so much plastic packaging and it all arrives in this huge styrofoam cooler, which I hate. I think I can probably recycle the plastic trays, but that giant styrofoam cooler is not going to be easy to recycle… I asked if I could just return everything to them for a refund, I had no idea this was the type of product I was getting. I feel their website is very misleading and makes you think you are getting all fresh, unprocessed foods. Plus the fact that I didn't even get the food that I paid for! This seems really shady to me. They refused to give me a refund and their email response wasn't super clear as to why. I will never purchase from Bistro MD. It would honestly be easier, less expensive, and probably just as healthy, to go to the store and get breakfast lunch and dinner of [External Reference] or [External Reference]. At least that way, you'd definitely get the entrees that you actually wanted.

I have tried about 9 meals, and everything is delicious so far. The price is the only obstacle in the long run. I wish they had discount for customers that are already ordering.

I like the program thus far. I had one hiccup, the meal plan they sent me didn't have the same entrees that were in my order.... I also had selected no fish in that week and received salmon. Aside from that I love the meals and the tasty snacks!

After much research I decided to try Bistro MD, the food looked good and I really sat down and evaluated what I felt my time and my health was worth. I placed my order on a Friday night, and on Wednesday I had received my first order. I have now had 4 days of meals and with the exception of 2 meals I have found everything to taste absolutely delicious!!!! The portions are great and I feel very satisfied after every meal and not hungry between meals!!! I only eat the meals that are delivered and 2 servings of fruit a day ( sorry the snacks I ordered were really really yuck!!!). Do follow the instructions and thaw in the refrigerator out a day or 2 in advance it cooks faster IMHO. If you're on the fence, just order , you won't be disappointed!!!!!!!!
