It is an invasion of privacy
We are horrified to realize that the feeder has a microphone that records audio that cannot be disabled. And the feeder makes annoying sounds! It is like having a security camera in my yard. I did not choose this. I just want a feeder where my sisters and I can VIEW birds.

Was not delivered as promised
Was not delivered as promised. Delivery was supposed to occur Thursday 5/7 (before Mother’s Day) and still has not been delivered.

Do not buy from Birdfy if you want to use the cameras
My nest duo never stayed connected to WiFi so I was promised a replacement from Birdfy. It never arrived, despite several follow-ups and requests for a tracking number. So I just reset or reinstalled my bird house every day to see my local blue birds stake claim to their new home. Then, randomly 3 months later Birdfy deactivated my cameras without warning and without reason. Two days later my blue birds started building their nest. Now I have a $300 birdhouse with no cameras and I am missing the whole reason I bought the nest duo in the first place. When I reached out to Birdfy support I was promised that a Tier Two Specialist would reach out to me by email within 24 hrs. That has been over a week ago and still no word. When I looked for help online, I found tons of similar reports of Birdfy randomly deactivating users' cameras rendering their devices useless. I would not buy from this company again, nor would I trust any of their products to work long-term. Update: I was told by customer service that my case has been escalated because of the ‘missing replacement’ they claim to have sent in March and are currently working on tracking that package down. Clearly Birdfy cares more about their missing merchandise than the customer they completely screwed over. Only after I pointed that out, I was told I would hear from their Tier Two Support (again) within 24 hrs about another replacement. This morning, May 11. 2026, I received 4 of the exact same email assuring me a replacement would be sent out and a tracking number would be sent via email. It also said to save any photos and videos on my old birdhouse because I would lose access to them once the new one arrived. I don't have access to my photos and videos because Birdfy has already locked my cameras. That has been my complaint all along. Now that I know Birdfy reads this… Birdfy, please unlock my cameras.

Hopefully you don't need customer support
My purchase came quickly, but the product was defective. This isn't my first Birdfy product so this is only the second time I've needed their support. If the products work correctly - great. If they do not, good luck. Their support appears to be trying their best so I'm not sure it's their fault, but it's just not great. You don't always receive a response when you send an e-mail so definitely do NOT send e-mail support. When you do receive responses, expect delays or confusion. Their estimated response times are not accurate, so do not rely on that as well. Overall, buyer beware - if you need support, good luck. ** Editing review with additional info: ** Nobody from their senior support team reached out via e-mail. Not that you could tell who's from what team, the support e-mails have no names in them and look to be written by Claude. Their reply about using the Birdfy Chat is ironic because that's what I did and the rep moved the support request to e-mail. So once again, good luck if you need their abysmal support. Also, if you order one of their new products and it's defective... have fun trying to get a replacement when it goes out of stock, I'll be waiting well over a month now.

Birdfy makes it possible to watch birds…
Birdfy makes it possible to watch birds in and out of real time. Most of us don't have time to physically watch the feeders very much. Also, the company is very responsive to the needs of the bird watching communities.

I ordered 2 bird feeders for gifts
I ordered 2 bird feeders for gifts. Both came with solar panels as per the upgraded package that I purchased. One arrived with the panel, the other feeder arrived days later with a panel. After speaking with customer service multiple times I was assured that the panel was on its way. After months of waiting and repeated attempts I’m just chalking this up as a loss.
