I've had a great experience with Birchbox. I received a 6-month subscription for Christmas last year and once it expired, I quickly signed up for $10/month. This Christmas, I again received another 12-month subscription. I cancelled my monthly billing which I was worried about because I didn't want it to be a hassle like other things. However, cancelling was the easiest thing ever! So I cancelled and redeemed my 12-month subscription. I will be signing back up for the monthly once my subscription expires!

I've loved all my samples and full sized purchases. Birchbox is kind of extra great.

I just love Birch Box. They are amazing.

I was not overly impressed with Birchbox but I gave it a chance and have received 3 boxes now. The latest box featured the smallest sizes possible and the nail varnish was dried solid with a broken brush. I tried to call Birchbox but got an answerphone message. So I cancelled my subscription and commented on the reasons why. Absolutely no response beyond the generic come back e-mails. Very disappointing, will never return or recommend.

I received two boxes both containing microscopic sizes, smaller than the ones you would receive at a hotel. One was actually one (1) facial cleaning towel. Also, in my second box there was a missing product and it took six (6) emails to finally get them to agree to sent it to me. The company shows pictures of boxes with large sizes when the sizes you get are tiny. This is false advertising and should be turned over to the appropriate agency for your state. If you are thinking about a subscription save your money, because YOUR MONEY IS ALL BIRCH BOX CARES ABOUT AND ONCE YOU GIVE IT TO THEM THEY ARE GONE.

I've been getting monthly subscription boxes for about a year now and enjoy them a lot. HOWEVER, I decided to bite the bullet and order some expensive full sized products recently. The package was marked that it required a signature and since I wasn't home at 2:30pm on a Monday (I have a job, sue me) it was taken to a drop off location - in a shady part of town at a convenience store with bars on the windows. I contacted Birchbox customer service to ask why they would require a signature and they tried to blame the UPS driver and say that they had decided my front porch/mailbox/storm door wasn't safe enough to leave my package. No, after picking it up I saw it was clearly marked on the label that it required a signature. I responded to the customer service email and got a very curt response back. I'll keep up with my monthly boxes for now, but I doubt I'll ever order full sized products again.

After being a birchbox subscriber for over six months (for female and male box), I placed my first full-size order in early December for a Christmas present. I was notified FIVE DAYS before Christmas that the order would be unfulfilled due to lack of inventory. My money was refunded and no other offer was extended. This is terrible customer service and I will not be shopping here any longer and discouraging others from doing so as well. Now I have to scramble to find another gift the week of Christmas. Thanks for nothing.

Based on the Birchbox website pictures and description of the monthly boxes, I ordered a subscription as a Christmas gift for my best friend. I had the first box sent to me so I could give to her personally and I am so glad I did. I couldn't believe how shoddy the product was. The pictures on the web show these lovely decorated boxes with the products placed neatly inside them for a nice presentation. The box I received was a non-descript solid green/grey box with microscopic sized samples just thrown in the box with no packaging. They were just rolling around in the box. It looked like I found an old box in my closet and threw in some samples I had taken from hotels. There was no way I could give this as a gift. I sent them a message describing my disappointment and a customer service rep did respond the next day, said the box I received must have been a mistake and would send another. Which they promptly did. Sadly, they sent the exact same ugly box with the products just rolling around in it. Really??!!!! How is this company so successful? What I received was nothing at all as depicted on their website. Absolutely a misrepresentation of their product. I will say their customer service department is very responsive and they did allow me to cancel the subscription. Strongly DO NOT recommend Birchbox.
