Bought a 3 month subscription as a Christmas gift, was sent all 3 boxes before Christmas (2 of which were the same box but with items missing in all boxes) which I’d asked to be spread out, then January was charged £13, after enquiring why they said that there was a subscription for myself as well as the gift which I DID NOT ask for when purchasing the gift, I asked to cancel and they simply said to go myself onto the website and cancel it myself, no apologies or refunds offered for the appalling service I received! DO NOT RECCOMEND

I would review the products if I’d ever received any!! Appalling service meaning after two months I still have not ever received my box. Customer service - you will be waiting at least a week for a single reply to then have to re-explain the situation when your next reply comes another week later! just adding to the frustration! After 8 weeks I’ve now been advised I’ll get a refund, after having my money all this time and no products received at all! Again I’ll probably be waiting another week. I’ll not be ordering again and definitely would not recommend.

Ordered expensive mascara for my partner for Christmas. It arrived in time, the box was correct, however, inside the box was the complete wrong item which had also been heavily used. How a company can have such bad quality control is beyond me, needless to say my partner was disappointed with her present. I started the return prcoedure the same day (25th Dec) it's now the 14th of January and I have now only just received a message from their support which lost my original request so are now asking what order it relates to... abysmal quality control, abysmally slow and incompetent customer service.

I have enjoyed an annual subscription of Birchbox and found the delivery of my boxes to be timely, and of good quality - all has been smooth running. However, this does not outweigh my negative recent experience. My Birchbox subscription was automatically renewed on the 1st of the month, with no prior communication to inform me of this, taking a vast £145 directly out of my account (a bit of a shock post-Christmas). I contacted Birchbox immediately, to cancel the annual subscription and to get a refund. I have called, I have messaged on facebook, I have emailed, and it is 11 days with still no response. I can only imagine how much longer it will take to then receive the returned funds to my account - money I simply cannot be without. This really is shocking service and extremely frustrating to not be able to reach any individual working in the company for support. Improvements must be made and accurate provisions put in place. Amazon got in plenty of trouble for automatically renewing subscriptions, changed their protocol, gave information about what to do if payment had been taken, and staffed themselves properly to deal with enquiries. Will not be returning to Birchbox.

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Placed an order for a Birchbox on 27th November for a Christmas present. On 7th December, Hermes emailed me stating the parcel has been delivered. It hadn’t, as I tracked it and it was still at the warehouse. I emailed Birchbox who replied on 11th December telling me they would send me a replacement box and could I confirm my address. I replied immediately confirming. By 17th December the box didn’t arrive so I emailed Birchbox to tell them. I received a reply on 24th December saying they will despatch the replacement on 27th December. We are now on 8th January and still no Birchbox has arrived!!! Birchbox have stopped communicating with me so I am escalating the complaint. I understand it was over Christmas but it’s ridiculous now. Such a great product but customer service is disgraceful. They were happy to take my money for a 3 month subscription but won’t send me my box!!!

It is absolutely outrageous that after almost two months I did not receive a purchase I paid for!!!! Also, I am completely unsatisfied with their customer service as one month ago I sent them an e-mail to draw to their attention that I did not receive the products and I still they did not receive a response to that e-mail!!!!! Not even mentioning that I have been trying to call their customer service number at least 3 time / day for the past week and no one is picking up!

I’ve had the same problem as other customers, I got a birch box as a present and told three friends about it they did the same one guy got 5 subscriptions for his sisters .None of us have recieved anything, I’m getting the same automated emails the last two weeks . How they can operate like this is crazy .Will never recommend them again or buy off them . I didn’t purchase them on Black Friday as on lady is saying there was a fault on this day ,even so there is no customer services to deal with any problems seemingly.

Customer service does not exist. I was billed for stuff I did not order and must have sent 5 emails over the course of a week. I only got automated replies about how busy they were and that they would get back to me . I finally got fed up and tried to cancel my account . Apparently the only way to do that is to send yet another email, to which ... guess what??? Yep, another automated reply. Hopefully by the time my 3 month memebership is up I will have been able to cancel, if not I guess I’ll have to change my check card . Btw, Ipsy was ok , I just wanted to try something new , and I had no trouble cancelling with them at all, maybe I’ll go back to Ipsy.
