I would caution anyone thinking of getting a birchbox. I bought a subscription last year and one for my niece as an xmas present. No issue with the boxes however it is the underhand way they operate that is the problem. A full year subscription cost was taken out of my account a few days ago - I did not want or ask for the subscription to be renewed. It is not possible to get through to customer services and in addition the instructions on how to cancel a subscription does not relate to any possible mode of action in your account settings online! So you are stuck. It is a very large amount of money to just take from an account and I feel strongly that this kind of practise should be made illegal.

Really feel scammed by Birchbox. Customer service number is a recording only, you can’t speak to anyone. Black Friday deal lured me in. Never received my items. They still took a direct debit for the following two months. Won’t return my emails. Won’t answer my Twitter DM. Aggravating. Stay well clear no matter how enticing their promotion!

I have been a subscriber to Birchbox for almost a year now. Had no problems, love the boxes, they are top value for money & I have been able to try high-end products that I wouldn't usually be able to afford. Nothing as ever arrived damaged & I have never received any duplicate items. Tbh, I am writing this review because I am tired of reading all of the negativity in regards to their Black Friday Promotion, which they themselves have admitted went a bit mad! But the way people are going on, you'd think they'd lost a kidney or something 😉 I had 4 Black Friyay Boxes & received them within 48 hours of placing my order. All in all, I love my Birch Boxes & I am more than happy with all of the products & promotions.

Not received my December box yet. They don't respond to emails or answer the phone. Total waste of my time and money.

Disastrous.... ordered as a Black Friday deal, a month later I’m still waiting. The courier (Hermes) was useless, didn’t say when they were coming, no card left or pickup point option. Customer service at Birchbox shambolic. I emailed days ago and no reply. I just tracked the order and it’s gone back to sender. Thanks Birchbox, I’ve now got to go shopping for cracker beauty goodies for Xmas day tomorrow.

I keep seeing negative comments but I have never had an issue with Birchbox. Been with them for 2 years now. I’ve had 2 boxes with broken products but these were replaced really quickly. I look forward to the boxes each month and I have made loads of additional orders due to liking the products I have tried.

They suuuuuck. Ordered end of November hoping to recieve the December box. Not only was my order epically late they delivered the August box. ABSOLUTELY USELESS. NEVER AGAIN. Their customer service also doesn't respond to messages. ABSOLUTE TRASH. I WANT MY MONEY BACK.

Shocking service. I did not receive my December box despite the funds being taken and when contacting them, they simply ignored my emails and refused to pick up the phone. I am yet to get this resolved I would strongly advise going for another subscription box such as Glossybox as they give much better samples - most of the ones in the birch box are basically empty. NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!!
