I found this product when I was searching Sirius for my New to Me BMW. When I did my homework "chatting and Calling" everyone was very helpful. The Sirius Code was installed easily and the team was around in case I needed help. I saved $300 by doing this with BimmerTech and me doing the installation. I was very happy with the entire process.

I originally posted a positive review after buying an GPS map update. For the positive posing, I was offered 3 free iDrive mods... I chose Delete Legal Disclaimer, Full text message posting, and M2 Start-up animation. Unfortunately, they could never make the start animation work as it should, and after patiently trying many time to reprogram the iDrive back to default, they have never succeeded. They repeatedly tried to convince me that it was fine, but it just is not the way it was from the factory. I would suggest BEWARE of trying to make this change...it is especially annoying, as it is never something that I would have chosen to do on my own

Jay, for the past 3 months we’ve exchanged probably dozens of emails and phone calls. During that period we’ve offered you extra features, adjusted them to your needs and finally brought back the default settings. We understand that some features may at times not turn out as you’d imagine them to look like, which is why we really tried to please you with your preferred changes – hence the incessant support from our team. So after all that and with all the understanding we have, we honestly believe we do not deserve a 1 star review.

The experience with Bimmer Tech started out great - which I chalk up to the them getting their money. After that - the programmer extremely rude, unhelpful and only answer he could give was call tech support. After several phone calls, I was advised that my wiring harness was bad and needed to replaced, the very next day I receive a package in a reused box taped with some craft tape that included 2 wires with no instructions, and these wires were not on the original instructions. I call again and was told these wires were not needed and a new hat ads would be shipped. 2 weeks later - no harness. I call again and after 45 minutes was told that there were issues with the “logistics” department and I would for certain get the harness next week. I asked to speak to a supervisor, this ordeal has been goin on for 4 weeks - stated supervisor would not be I. for another hour and that they would call me. Guess what? NO CALL. I call back the next day to get a tracking number - after 30 mins in the phone they have to call me back. They do call to my surprise - but tell me I have everything I need and no new harness would be shipped and that the REP that I spoke to the previous day must have Mia-understood that a new harness would be shipped. Customer service after the purchase is worthless. Spend you money elsewhere - they will. It refund you money for issues such as this and will give you the run around on answers. Also now my 328i thinks it’s a 4x4 a due to the programming issues. I keep getting 4x4 traction control errors in the dash.

We’re terribly sorry for the whole situation. The logistic confusion was clearly on our side. But we’re in touch now so we’ll do our best to solve your case! We guarantee you’ll emerge unscathed out of this big misunderstanding and truly hope you could finally be satisfied in the end. Stay safe, BimmerTech Team.

After my BMW dealer wanted to charge me almost $900 to activate and install the code for Sirius Radio in my X5, I found BimmerTech online and so glad I did. Their process is so easy and simple that it only took a few minutes to enter my vin # and complete the other info. I received the email with the link to the code as well as the instructions very promptly. The whole process of downloading the code onto my usb thumb drive, installing it in my X5 and waiting the required time took about half an hour. And it worked the first time!!! The dealer needed my SUV for 24 hours and $900. If you need to update your BMW, BimmerTech is a "no brainer" and the place to go. Trust me, you'll be glad you did. Their response time and customer service is AWESOME.

I ordered and installed both the backup camera and the MMI Prime unit. I took my time during the install and when I had a couple questions was able to get an answer by the next morning via email from tech support. The MMI integrates nicely with the stock system and is very responsive. The wireless Apple CarPlay works so nice and connects immediately when I start the car. This whole system has been a great upgrade to my car.

I can tell you experience I had using bimmertech could not have been any easier to use. This was my second time using their services and both times were a seamless transition. Codes work every time on the first try! Can't wait to update my Navigation.

Overall pleased with my Apple CarPlay activation via remote coding on my 2018 X3. My initial coding session didn't go well as I couldn't establish a connection with the car. After troubleshooting my USB port, RJ45 ethernet cable adaptor, coding cable and car's OBD port, it turns out the Bimmertech coding cable was defective. I ended up buying one off the internet in order to save time and schedule another session. The second session went seamlessly, and everything works perfectly, but they have been slow to respond in my request for a refund of the $50 coding cable.

The product and service were and are outstanding. The whole process was simple and quick, options for date and time were plenty. Apple Carplay works without any issues and is fullscreen, which even my dealership wasn't able to do. Thank You!
