This is a great alternative if you can't get in person counseling for any reason. It also helps to have a sounding board, and one that is professional that can help work through issues. I was leary at first because it's online, but they have video chat, regular chat, and emails. And it's a lot cheaper than regular counseling if your insurance doesn't pay. It's working for me, and I like the worksheets and homework when/if given. You actually get more from this than an in person counselor because there's more interaction than a 1 hour once a week session.

Betterhelp was the easiest and most beneficial way I could access counselling. I suffered from my mental health in an extreme way, very randomly. So to be able to pick up my phone and vent my thoughts to someone who was listening through my good times and bad was incredibly relieving. I couldn’t always get all of my thoughts out on the table to someone sitting across from me in an allocated timeframe. Amy Titzer was my saving grace!
