Very positive and supportive company. Easy to receive financial aid. Good experience with therapist so far. Never considered long distance therapy until I discovered BetterHelp. Was uncertain about it—took me months to try it. It’s worth it.

My counselor is great and better help customer service is great. The "assigned" counselor they first matched me to wasn't a good fit due to her area of expertise but she was honest about not being experienced enough with my condition. Switching is easy though and I chose a counselor based on the counselor profiles. She's great! Its cheaper than my in person therapist was, even after the insurance discounts and I can contact her more often. I do messaging frequently and live chat once a week. Cheaper, better, easier. I'd recommend better help to anyone needing some, well, help. :)

Betterhelp is exactly what I've been looking for in the exploratory stages of therapy. I gave in-person therapy a chance, but there was no affording it to the capacity I need it. Betterhelp is affordable, convenient, comfortable, and simple. They match each individual with qualified professionals based on your needs (which you give confidentially via a questionnaire after joining). They have 3 communication options: chat, phone call, or video chat. All sessions are scheduled at the convenience of the consumer and if paired with someone that doesn't match the consumer's needs, switching therapists is the click of a button. I'm on my 4th month of Betterhelp, and 2nd therapist, and I can say it's well worth the cost and time to invest in yourself!

I stumbled upon BetterHelp right after I had decided it was time to get some professional help to guide me in working through the existential angst I was experiencing. The site was very effective in assessing my situation and connecting me with a therapist. I have been in counseling before and have found the experience to be hit or miss. I don't know if the algorithms BetterHelp uses result in 100% matches, but it certainly picked the right one for me. After using the resource for a month, I felt ready to move on. But I wouldn't hesitate to use the platform again. Besides the matching process, a few of the benefits I really appreciated: - There are several methods for structuring payment for shorter or longer-term participation. - The options for secure messaging, audio only or audio and video made the communication very effective. My therapist sent me resources between sessions and I appreciated that there was an asynchronous option for connecting. - We had a little trouble connecting on the platform (we were both new to BetterHelp). Even though that was a little annoying, I reflected on how that lost 10 minutes would compare with being stuck in traffic. I would much rather have a technical glitch! Once we figured out the drill, the audio and video connections were clear. - I believe this will be an increasingly popular platform for getting supportive therapy for people in all sorts of situations. It is efficient, effective and very helpful!

Betterhelp has been an excellent alternative to traditional therapy, being able to write to a counselor daily has been a great way to organize my thoughts and really communicate what I'm trying to get across. The therapists typically respond in a timely manner, and with rich responses. I feel very attended to. The financial aid system makes it possible for anyone who needs help to afford it, so there's no point in hesitating.
