Waste of Time & Money
I have made 2 attempts with therapist on Betterhelp. Both were disappointing. The 1st person I spoke with looked like a mature woman in her photo. After our initial session I had doubts that I was speaking to the person in the photo. She sounded really young & inexperienced. I asked for out next session to be Video, so I could see who I was talking to. She said that wasn’t possible. I believe that I was being Catfished on this site, shown a picture of a middle aged woman, & then have some kid on the line with me. I complained, got that session refunded, but no one has addressed my concern around the fraud. My 2nd attempt, I selected an older woman (70+) who was available for video chats. She recommended a book to me that was published 40 years ago full of corny, sexist outdated references. She told me that she recommends this book to EVERYONE she works with. I felt like that could be said for all the coaching I received from her. Very basic generic advice that had little to do with me. I would not recommend this site. It may seem like a bargain, but you get what you pay for. Or possibly, you will get nothing at all (worthless generic advice)

Finding the right therapist to support you can take a few tries, but rest assured, we are here to help you every step of the way! While I can confirm all therapists are required to have a current photo on their profile, I'm sorry if their voice caused you some concern. It's important to feel comfortable with your therapist and I would be interested in helping you find the best match for your needs. I am going to request more information, via TrustPilot, so that I can reach out and assist you with this process as quickly as possible.
