Better help was a pathway to hope for me. I knew I needed help but had no health insurance for therapy locally, this gives an opportunity to those struggling like I was. It asked you what you were looking for in a counselor. Which was awesome, I wanted a woman, a woman of faith, and of my ethnicity. It provided this for me. It is private and confidential. I’m thankful to God that this option, that this service is out there.

I love betterhelp! I didnt expect it to be that good. Everyone told me online therapy doesnt work well and you need to see the therapist in person. Thats not true. I have done a lot of face to face therapy but what betterhelp offers is much better suiting for me. Thank you betterhelp for existing and for making my life better!

I was paired with a very experienced councilor that I could identify with. I feel supported by the offered services and appreciate that the scheduling is flexible. I feel that I have an active role in the direction of counciling and I am empowered to reach out for advice and to learn more about the skills I want/need to develop. It helps that I can send a message and recieve resources outside of the sessions.

I've only been corresponding with my counselor for a few months now and already we've covered so many facets of my life. I really like the options to type, call, or video anything to her and that the sessions are planned by me. She responds to everything I say and always responds with personalized, thought-provoking and pattern-challenging questions. I truly feel safe to say absolutely anything to her. I tried out Betterhelp as a grad student hoping I could save money, and I honestly had my doubts from the beginning. I thought only new, unexperienced therapists would be on this new platform and the video format of the sessions would feel disconnected. However, I was proven wrong, I found a specialist specific to my issues who had many years of experience, the video format was comfortable, and I got to pick my own therapist from a variety of profiles. Finding the right therapist can be difficult in person, it's not easy to be vulnerable with strangers, so I appreciated this feature. I am never going back to in-person therapy again. Betterhelp is convenient, and I have a great therapist.
