Sign up for online counseling? I was very skeptical at first, but I also knew that I needed help. Being issued “shelter in place” meant dealing with a lifetime of bad relationships and bad decisions. Not a healthy situation. So I signed up. The hardest part was paying for something online and praying it wasn’t a sham. I was not disappointed. What an amazing opportunity I gave myself. My counselor Katherine is amazing, and all of the available online tools are incredible. If you are finding yourself alone in your head and need help getting out, I highly recommend giving BetterHelp a try. You will not be disappointed.

With my work schedule it's been very difficult to find counseling. Betterhelp has been great and allows me to schedule virtual visits at times that work for me. My counselor Valarie Steele has been great. She really cares and I feel like really wants to help me achieve my goals for counseling.

I found this to be a great service. My therapist listened and gave me various types of solutions to think about or try. He has helped me see the tools that I already have to help myself. I would recommend to try this service also the video call was just as good as going to visit especially in the current climate.

I have worked with counselors from BetterHelp two times and each time I have found the help I needed. Being able to type experiences in real time with a less than 24 hour turn around has been beyond valuable. It's so much better than traditional counseling. The price is unbeatable. Mostly I like being able to communicate what I'm feeling when I'm feeling it and not waiting for a 45 minute counseling session after the feelings have dispersed. I highly recommend BetterHelp for all counseling needs.

I was seeking counseling to help me cope with the loss of my son. Initially, I was skeptical about on-line counseling. I decided to give it a try, and I am so glad that I did. It is so flexible and easy to access. It affords privacy and, best of all, I connected with a counselor who is kind and professional.

Personally, my experience with BetterHelp has been wonderful. I had my doubts due to previous drama related to the brand in the online world, but now that I'm 2 weeks into my treatment, I can vouch for how reputable this service is. To start though, you need to change your expectations before you dive in. Yes, it's online, and WE are connected to our phones, but the provider you would be seeing is having sessions or chatting with multiple other clients. This might be a side gig! They aren't taking it any less seriously than a face to face provider, but there are still limitations in their responsiveness because you will NOT be their only client! So expect a bit of a wait, yes you sent them a chat message and ugh! They should be replying right away! Just take a step back... you're not the only person in the world. But I talk to my provider EVERY DAY. I write a journal entry, as long as I want, and she will respond to my writings each day, and give me feedback or advice if necessary! And, on top of that, I have the weekly video sessions with her. The system works incredibly well for someone of my type, and I think if one is restricted in transportation, a lack of local providers, or just want to try online help, I would absolutely recommend BetterHelp!
