Says it’s £60 a session so paid £240, had 2 sessions and can no longer speak with my therapist without paying another £240. I’m absolutely disgusted. This isn’t right, especially when you are dealing with vulnerable people! This was arranged for me when I was in a hospital and the staff arranged it believing it was £60 a session too, It’s VERY misleading

Beware. They have been selling your private, legally protected and confidential health information to advertisers for extra bucks. This is the kind of thing an individual licensed therapist would (& should) lose their license for. They also got in legal trouble for using third party services to list individual therapists information without their permission and then providing ‘get in touch’ links that falsely states that said therapist does not have openings and instead links to a better help therapist. (Trust pilot won’t let me add links but if you google the company plus FTC you can read all about it.) Oh…& they very severely underpay their therapists as well. So many shady business practices. While no doubt there are some good therapists on this site I would not trust this company at all. They are trying to turn therapists into gig workers and betraying clients by selling what should be deeply protected information, all to rake in the profits.

I signed up & paid on February 24th. After I scheduled the initial appointment for March 6th, without timely or proper notice the assigned therapist changed the appointment to today. She assumed that I would drop everything that I had planned today to meet with her because she had a last minute cancellation. I have a very jam packed schedule so I selected the date that was most appropriate for my schedule based on the limited availability she had listed. I attempted to send messages on February 27th but the app didn’t send the message through until today. The offer mentioned receiving sessions as often as needed but I haven’t even had one and the company bills for weekly sessions but it hasn’t even occurred before my card is charged for another 4 week period without any support from the therapist they’ve assigned. When I attempted to change the therapist in an effort to utilizing the services, the app didn’t allow me to change. Essentially, I’m paying to try scheduling an appointment with a therapist that’s not available at a reasonable time or that keeps a scheduled appointment. UPDATE: I didn’t receive any emails from BetterHelp when I reached out to change the therapist. I only received emails from the assigned therapist that didn’t keep the appointment. Their system needs to provide transparency and autonomy for users to select the therapist based on availability and preferences instead of assigning therapist that are unavailable. It’s wasting time and money. The BetterHelp responder on this post asked for my name as additional information to verify if I’m a customer. How else would I have a bad experience if I haven’t attempted to become a customer. Asking for my name again doesn’t resolve the issue or rectify my account problem.

Biggest waste of money and time. This therapist will repeatedly cancel on you with no prior communication. I'm sorry I ever tried this, would not recommend.

unreliable and unexperienced service. they will match you with anyone. there therapist on this website are scammer and time wasters. this is a scam. do not waste your money !

bro i was venting to my counsiler about my initial fustrations, women, society, family and my liberal sissy shrink called a welfare check on me and said we cant help your level of distress. im like wow your really going to do me lime that? im fine i dont need the police to come get me, ashole, i thought i was paying you so i could talk to you about my worldy fustrations, damn! i dont need a psychward i didnt express anything that warrented that. sheesh!! my counselor had blue hair if that wasnt a warning sign. update: the guy said i need sever psychological help, well i look for exactly that and guess whose ad pops up? better help. what does a guy have to do to get to express himself in confidence without an overly reactionary beta male calling the cops? sheesh! better help tried flagging my review and getting it taken down. you guys are scum.

I paid for 4 weeks, only got 3 therapy sessions, and two of them got interrupted half way losing time. The therapist didn't respond to questions out of therapy time. And the "getting to know you" info I submitted was basically a waste of time, the therapist completely ignored all of it, I'm not even sure she read it once. As reported by recent discussions, the growing power of large (and especially global/tech) companies and their ability to manipulate markets and society has become a pressing concern.
